My 85-year old dad and I stopped into Red Lobster since we hadn't been there in a while. Even though it is a little costly for us, I wanted him to have a nice afternoon out with a good meal. We were greeted by a hostess who sat us right away as there were very few people in the restaurant. She only had one menu and informed us that she would be right back with another one. There was a couple seated in the booth behind us with a waitress at their table. Since the hostess did not return with another menu, I asked that waitress when she walked by if she could please bring us another menu when she was free. She acted bothered that we were even sitting there and asked who sat us. When I informed her that it was the hostess, she said, "well, I guess it is my table even though I already have one!" She was rude throughout the WHOLE meal. She ignored us for the most part. When we asked questions about the menu when we were ordering, she would snap at us and cut us off. She couldn't answer a couple of questions that we had (how much for a side of clam strips and if my dad could make a substitution). While that is absolutely fine and expected that she had to look it up, the snide remarks and impoliteness were not.
I ordered the all u can eat soup, salad, and biscuits. She didn't bring the salad until everything else came out even though it was all-you-can eat. I didn't mention it. When she dropped off our meals, I asked if we could get more biscuits. She stated that she would bring more out. When the biscuits never came, I asked as she walked by if we could get more. She snapped at me again and said, rudely, that she was busy and would get to it. At this point the table behind us had left after finishing their meal. She had one new table and then us. After about 10 more minutes, she finally brought the biscuits which were hard and cold. She rarely checked on us. When she finally did, she was impolite and acted inconvenienced when we asked for refills. We almost just walked out, but decided we would finish our meals. Based on that service alone, we will not return to that Red Lobster again. I do have to say that the food was tasty, so...
Read moreYesterday we visited your red lobster in Muskegon, Michigan. We were served by Lexis. It was 230 in the afternoon. The place was pretty empty. She had two tables us being her second table. Her first table was done eating. We ordered our drinks and our food. A few minutes later, our server comes over and tells us they didn’t have the stuff for one of our drinks and so I had to pick another drink. 20 minutes go by no drinks were served to us. A waitress passed by so we asked her if she could check on our drinks because we didn’t see anyone at the bar making any drinks mind you maybe there is four tables in the whole restaurant with people at them. Five minutes later, our waitress comes out of the kitchen with our food, plops it on a serving station and says to us, I heard you were mad. Do you want your drinks or do you want your food first? She had quite the attitude. Mind you we’ve been here half an hour. We didn’t have any drinks or our salads but here’s our food. The manager standing behind her as she starts to argue with us, and he took over our table. Andy was very pleasant and did give us a free dessert, but still, it did not make up for the bad behavior and the crappy service of Lexus. We spent over $200 on dinner. Did not receive all the food we ordered. Never received our salads or a pasta that we ordered. We were very dissatisfied with red lobster on this day. I have been to this establishment at least 80 times over the years. I have never been treated this way. It was the first time to red lobster for two of the people I was with. I was ashamed at the behavior of our waitress. I bragged up your restaurant before we got there. I have been to this particular restaurant about 80 times over the years I’m thinking I may be finding a new restaurant...
Read moreWe walked in, got seated, ( they weren’t super busy, a lot of the tables were empty) ordered drinks. We waited for over 10 minutes and all four people from our party had what we wanted to order. The manager was sitting at the bar talking with 3 other employees, we asked her about our waiter and drinks that we ordered. Within 3-4 minutes we had our drinks. We ordered the food. After we spoke with the manager none of the staff would make eye contact with us sitting at the table. We simply asked about our drinks and that we were ready to order we did not complain about the waiter just simply asked if we could get our drinks. The rice on two of the four plates we ordered was undercooked and hard. The lobster tacos did not taste like lobster, it tasted like a piece of fish with the mud vein still on it when they cut it up. Another person from the group had soggy mushy French fries. I got the admiral feast. My fried shrimp when you picked them up off the plate was sitting in a pile of grease. I squeezed the first two out then threw the rest away because they were dripping with grease. Our party of four was not pleased with this red lobster. A few weeks ago we went to the one in Grand Rapids and was very pleased with that location. Between the four of us we spent just over $120 dollars. Every one of our meals had an issue with the plate. Not sure if this was them retaliating against us because we asked about our waiter or simply just...
