Update!!! So I just did it again. I just completed the purchase of my last (needed) new mattress within my household. I remembered that Laura (fantastic Mattress Firm Lady) had told me about the awesome-sauce Labor Day sales at mattress firm, and she also told me about how buying during the Labor Day sale falls withing the guarantee timeline to include their Black Friday sales. So, if the mattress that I bought happens to be cheaper on Black Friday, then I can get the difference in price refunded!!! So I started looking online at which mattress I was going to purchase. I found one I think is going to be perfect. So I called the store to see if they have it in stock. Also, because their service is beyond amazing, I highly recommend you purchase from one of the local reps verses just buying online. Coincidentally, Laura answered the phone. After I introduced myself, she immediately remembered who I was and got to work on my order. Not only did she text me a secure link to complete my purchase (so I never even had to leave my house), but she also remembered my phone number and delivery location! (She is the same fantastic Laura whom personally delivered my son's mattress last year!) ... seriously, I will not buy anywhere else ever again! Everywhere else would be hard pressed to beat their prices anyway, but you absolutely cannot beat their extraordinary exceptional customer service!!! Thanks again!

Last year... So, I did not have the typical experience when I purchased new mattresses for all three of my children. My first delivery date didn't work out because the truck had broken down (things happen) but I explained that we were moving and Laura and Sydney made sure I had the first two mattresses in time for our first night in our new home. Then my middle son's mattress was damaged during moving day, and we ended up needing another mattress. The service team was so great, and delivery persons were so helpful, that I purchased the third mattress from this location as well. They texted me to check up on my first delivery experience and satisfaction with mattress, (which we love our new mattresses!) then were able to accommodate my third purchase via text as I was on the go still moving. Then ... Unconditional and unfortunate circumstances prevented my scheduled delivery once again, and in order to provide excellent service, Laura personally dropped of an upgraded mattress that they had in stock to my door step! They also dropped some mattress protectors in the mail for all the new beds! It's BEYOND REFRESHING to experience such EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE and PERSONAL CARE as a customer! Sometimes things happen, but it's reassuring to know that they do actually care and have your back! My next purchase will be here as well, and I highly recommend shopping in person at...

Sales:

We had Sydney and Laura help with our selections, prices, and more. I cannot rave enough about their support and knowledge. They always had an answer and Sydney was especially helpful when we were disappointed with our first selections. I wish we could have kept the first beds, but the issues were product issues and beyond sales control. Syndey went above and beyond to find which type of bed we should choose for replacement. Another nice aspect also is that they keep in contact via text and respond promptly (during store hours).

Beds and base:

We purchased a split King with adjustable bases through Muskegon Mattress on Harvey street in Feb 25 and they were delivered on March 2nd! Originally we had purchased the Luxe Breeze medium hybrid and found it was okay with temperature control but the medium hybrid was way too hard and we could not tolerate the smell. (30 days and it still smelled) The other side of the split was a Luxe Adapt medium hybrid. I used that side and if you are used to the old tempure pedic that had a "plop" feel -this one has more bounce due to the double wrapped coils.

After giving those two a good 30 days we ended up trading them back for the Pro adapt Medium hybrid for each side of our split. I have had several car accidents and shoulder injury and this was perfect! Just enough coils (one layer and slightly less) for support but also enough tempurpedic for softness. It hasn't been as warm as the older tempur pedics either.

We purchased the middle of the road adjustable bases with the lumbar support and they are great! We did have issues with one base but it was promptly replaced.

Sheets:

We did purchase the deluxe sheets for the beds because we wanted to make sure they fit properly. However, I replaced them with a cotton, cooler feeling sheet. That said, it's preferential and others have liked them just fine.

Protective pad:

You do have to use their protective pad to maintain the warranty on the beds. I have no issue with it AFTER purchasing a 1 inch quilted pad that I put on top of it. I still keep their waterproof pad under it. Without that pad it was noisy and a bit slippery.

Prices:

When we returned the first set of mattresses, there was absolutely no issue with refunding the difference. We also had a 120 day price guarantee, which allowed another refund at about 83 days. This guarantees that if they go on sale within 120 days, you get the difference refunded.

I called Mattress Firm prior to going to the store to ensure they had the brands/mattresses I was looking for. Sun happened to answer the phone and within the first 30 seconds I knew I would be purchasing a bed from him. It was already late in the afternoon and I wasn't sure that I would make it into the store that day. Sun promptly gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him if I happened to visit the store on his day off and he would come in immediately to meet me.

Not wanting to interrupt his day off from work I went in the same day and Sun's exuberant personality and knowledge of the products sold my husband and I on a king mattress set we'd been wanting for a while.

Sun was personable, knowledgeable and very accommodating. He explained everything regarding the purchase, including the small print the consumers often fail to notice. Within an hour we had purchased our mattress set and were scheduled for delivery two days thereafter.

On delivery day, tHector and David arrived promptly after their estimated time of arrival call and were also very friendly. They even took some extra steps in the care of my old mattress set (as a request from me) that they certainly were not responsible for doing. They did it all with a smile, good attitude and lots of humor.

This was my first purchase at Mattress Firm and it will certainly not be my last.
