UPDATE: this is my home gym unfortunately and the new girl with the curly hair in the AM is super rude, I think she even called me a name when I walked out. I think she said ābye b*tchā to her coworker in the pink. Very unprofessional, hope they get rid of her.
This isnāt for the counter people this review is for the cleaning woman or housekeeper in the early AM. Sheās very rude and unprofessional. She takes it personally if sheās cleaning and you either need the bathroom or shower. She gives you dirty looks and when I showered, she was throwing stuff around, sounded like she was slamming doors and kicking stuff around because I was in the shower it was 5:15 and she was doing this, wasnāt like 3-4 am it was 5:15... around when everyone had to get ready for work. She even was pulling the shower curtains near me hard, like angry and she even went to the next stall beside me and ācleaned itā while I was showering I say ācleaned itā because it was already cleaned. She only went back to that shower stall near me because I put my shoes by both showers and she proceeded to wet my shoes. Even though the shower stall was already cleaned. She needs to reevaluate her job because you canāt be a cleaner and not expect people to use the stuff you are cleaning especially at the gym. She needs another job choice then because guess what? People use bathrooms and showers. I try my hardest to not make huge messes like the other gym goers but now I am not going to care and make messes too. Scr*w her.., Iām done being polite and getting mean and dirty looks from that cleaner. For the record sheās short, curly hair and wears glasses. Iām done being considerate with her especially after she wet my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been a member at this Planet Fitness for about two months, and while I appreciate the affordable pricing and welcoming vibe, several issues have made my experience frustrating.
Cleanliness and Maintenance: The gym frequently runs out of paper towels, with dispensers only available in a few spots (e.g., corners of the gym). This disrupts workouts and makes it hard to maintain hygiene, especially when many members donāt wipe down equipment after use. This is particularly concerning for those of us with physical limitations, as unclean machines pose health and safety risks.
Gym Etiquette: Thereās a noticeable lack of basic courtesy among some members. Many fail to re-rack weights or clean equipment, which creates obstacles for others, including veterans like myself with shoulder, back, and hip injuries, and other members with disabilities. Additionally, some members hover silently near machines, staring without communicating, which feels intimidating and goes against the āJudgement Free Zoneā ethos.
Staff Interaction: Most troubling was an incident where the manager instructed a staff member to confront me for a simple standing quad stretch in the lobby while I waited for my bus. I often do this for my post surgery comfort wherever I am. The gym was nearly empty, and I wasnāt blocking anyone. This heavy-handed approach reflects a complete lack of leadership judgment. I hope the staff maintains a strong ethos while having to navigate through the poor leadership. The manager risks fostering a toxic atmosphere that erodes staff morale and alienates loyal members.
Suggestions for Improvement: Honestly, just read the past reviews it's already been said,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you enjoy playing hide and seek to find paper towels & disinfectant then come here.
In just a single 30 min treadmill walk, I've counted 23 people walk up to a dispenser only to find it empty, with some either walking all the across the gym to another one or forgoing to clean the workout equipment at all.
The staff here 99% of the time are leaning on the counters, engaged in only their phones with their back turned to the entrance, OBLIVIOUS to any and all people coming in or out (think I'm lying, run the security tapes...)
Matters not whether you come in morning, afternoon or late at night, the experience is the SAME (however it's significantly worse at night).
People pay money to come here and use their workout time to decompress, relieve stress, and to get healthy. Catching an infection or something here is completely the opposite of this place purpose.
It's more than obvious the overwhelming majority of the staff here does NOT care about or take pride in their job (with one taking a smoke break outside every 20 steps). Since being here, I've only witnessed 2 staff members actually cleaning the machines and refilling the dispensers from their carts.
Management should review tapes and have mandatory all hands meeting to address these issues and concerns, bc I'm certainly NOT the only one who feels like this, I the one who will post it tho, as long as you all are taking my money. ...
