The Dresser Bridal — Local services in Fullerton

Before my appointment at The Dresser, I had visited David's Bridal and Jaclyn's Bridal (both in Costa Mesa) and not only were they unfriendly and unhelpful, they didn't listen to what I said I was looking for. They seemed like they had better things to do than help me find my dress for my big day, and it made me feel unimportant and not valued as a customer. I was happy to take my business to The Dresser--my only wish is that I had gone there first so I didn't have the other unpleasant and embarrassing experiences.

The moment we walked in to The Dresser, we were greeted and they gave me some paperwork asking my style, budget, etc. (David's Bridal and Jaclyn's Bridal acted surprised I was there even though I made an appointment). I then sat down with Tori, my consultant, and she asked me questions about what I was looking for, and asked if I had any photos of ideas I liked. She immediately knew of some dresses and gathered them for me while I browsed some others with my mom.

She tied up/buttoned up/zipped up each dress after I put them on and I walked out to show my mom. All of the dresses she chose for me could have worked--they were all beautiful and what I was looking for. It was great to have options like that, especially as a plus-size woman. I narrowed it down to a dress I can't stop thinking about (and I bought it months ago!). Tori helped me choose a veil to match and we bought everything that day.

I cannot recommend The Dresser Bridal enough! This was my very first bridal shop experience and I'm so glad it was.

Prior to your visit, they send you a questionnaire asking your budget, dress inspo, wedding inspo, and some favorite designers. When I got to the shop, I worked with Savannah, who was so friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. We chatted about what I put on the questionnaire, double checked the budget (which was $1200-$1500), and she dove right into bringing over dress choices. Once she found out this was my first bridal appointment EVER, she suggested & let me try on wide variety of dresses to find what suited me best. After putting on each dress, she asked sharp questions which helped me explain what I liked and didn't like about the dress in words (so important). With her guidance, we were able to quickly narrow down the dress choices. She also respected my budget and always made sure to tell me BEFORE trying on the dress that it is in the higher end of the range so I had the choice to say "that's fine" or "ooh yeah no let's not." I honestly felt like I was shopping for a dress with a friend who just happens to work in the industry throughout the entire process and it made what could have been a very stressful experience an amazing time!

I came into this whole experience not at all excited because I generally hate trying on clothes, had no idea what I wanted, and expected to spend hours and hours hopping around bridal shops unable to find anything I really liked. I came into The Dresser Bridal with my mom a few weeks ago having never tried on a wedding dress in my life, with no real budget in mind, no ideas, and no pictures. Torri was my consultant, and she was great at giving me a bunch of different options to find out what in the world I was looking for without seeming annoyed or frustrated at all. She was so patient and knowledgeable, answering all of my silly questions without laughing or rolling her eyes! She ended up finding a dress I thought was probably "the one" within about the first 45 mins of the appointment. I couldn't totally commit that day because my two best friends weren't there. (I honestly never thought I would find a dress on my very first trip to a bridal shop!) I went back in with my mom AND 2 best friends a few days ago (of course with Torri) and ended up trying a few other dresses on, but ultimately choosing the same dress she picked for me at that first appointment!
