Overall I really enjoy this store and their selection of unique vintage finds. The vendor selection is great and I love supporting small local businesses.
However my review is based on my experience at the jewelery/gemstone counter. I was browsing one day and saw something that caught my eye. One of the owners swooped in and was very friendly and pulled many of his stones out to show me how high quality his pieces are. The one I was interested in I asked if it was authentic and he told me of course it was and he went into great detail about how he works with only the best and has them mined in one country and cut in another and has access to some of the most unique things you won't find anywhere else. He was trying to sell me on some of his other gems as well. Spent about 10 or 15 minutes chatting with him. He said he'd provide me with a "certificate" to prove it's authenticity. We made the purchase even though in my head I thought "This price seems too good to be true and the stone looks TOO perfect." Sure enough after getting home and inspecting it closer, I realized I was sold a cheap piece of dyed glass. When I held it on its side you could see a very large clear band in between the colored parts where 2 different dyed cut glass pieces were glued together. The "certificate" was a card that had a made up gem certification lab. The lab doesn't even exist and their contact information was a random Gmail account lol. He had a whole stack of those certificates cards for all his gems ready to go.
After it was brought back and he was called out for selling a fake he gave our money back without question but that was a disappointing experience. The lengthy tall tales and fake authenticity cards makes me question their business practice and other things that are sold claiming to be one thing or another so for that reason I won't be returning. If anyone goes there, stick with supporting the individual vendors and definitely steer clear of the...
Read moreIf I could give this place more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Without fail, everytime, they have something new and unique. My boyfriend and I are frequent shoppers and always leave with something, I swear half my room is stuff I bought here. I highly recommend going here in the fall, their seasonal decor is so amazing. They don't carry cheesy stuff, it's all vintage, and one of a kind. For being what they are, their prices are extremely reasonable. The workers are also incredibly kind and are always conversating with us, even complimenting us from time to time. They always recognize us and show gratitude for our interest. Could not recommend this place more, this is where I take all the...
Read moreBe wary if you return an item. The owner did not give us a full refund. He gave excuses about how he already paid his credit card fees and kept the sales tax as well. (The return was within 4 days.) He also tried giving back $10 less than he said he was giving back. Be sure to count your money before walking out the door as we did, otherwise, you might get out the door, count the money & go back to tell him only to find out that he denies it. The reason for our return is that they sold us something that was a reproduction & tried to pass it off as...
