With OD losing Tammy, it will spur me on to another location for my printing needs. She had that magic touch. The best I've seen. I came in Saturday to have a print job done. It was revealed to me that it could not be printed due to copy right violations two days later when I showed up for something not related to that need. I should've gotten a phone call. I understand people get busy and I've seen it happen in places where staff is really careful. Just make sure your staff follows up to let customers know, so we can make other arrangements more quickly. Another thing OD needs to do is place printing needs off of the company site as that is extremely cumbersome, when it is sent to the East Gadsden location. You need to lobby headquarters in Boca Raton and tell them most customers hate it done this way. That we want the 'old timey' way of having our needs met, that's more personal, friendly and less cumbersome. That is where Tammy could finesse things to make it easier and bypass it at times. Because my printing needs were denied due to the copy right issue, I realized I needed to do my project by hand to not make it look like crap. So, I called and asked if they had word molds I would need to use. The front desk clerk claimed they didn't and told me he could order it. I still felt like I could find it at OD and that they just did not really take the time to look. Sure enough, I walked in and found my word molds within 10 minutes. The thing I would suggest is for the type of customer service where if you have to deny a type of service help that customer find an alternative to please them. Maybe provide them a discount on the new method they have to use after option one is not viable. Follow through is the key to that experience that keeps people coming back and not going to a competitor. I'm big on advocating for hourly workers. I've even considered using it as a campaign platform. Just make folks like me look like it's worth fighting for and we'll fight for it. Give us a reason to get behind your jobs. Because we know how tough it is these days with types of customers who are bad...
Read moreI contacted this location by phone on Saturday 08/09/25. I asked to speak to the manager on duty. A young sounding female advised me that she was the one in charge. I asked her to look up OfficeMax standard sheet protectors. She was uncooperative, lethargic and basically told me she was not interested in my business.
I reached out a second time on 08/12/25 to this same OfficeMax located across the street from Academy Sports in Gadsden. I then asked for the manager on duty. I was then told by a male person that he was team lead on duty. I advised him that I did not ask for a team lead, head cashier etc but instead I requested to speak to the store manager on duty. Then a white female answered the phone and advised me she was the manager on duty. I advised her I was looking for sheet protectors, I also told her it was OfficeMax brand and I gave her the description and UPC number off of the box I had at my office. She told me that UPC label did not show in their system. I told her that is why I also gave her the physical description of the product so she could go and physically look for the product. She was huffy and snapped hold on. A couple of seconds later she said it didn't appear to exist in the store any longer. After hanging up I called a friend who was in the area and asked them to go check at store for me. Less than 10 minutes later in that exact store they sent me a picture of the item that I was told by huffy manager just minutes earlier did not exists!!!!! Not only did my friend find my item they also got me a better deal and saved me a lot of money... I WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE TO AVOID THIS OFFICEMAX AND TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO ANOTHER SUPPLIER/STORE!!! Rudest store I have been to...
Read moreI came in last minute to get some invites printed for my son's birthday party, well as soon as a walked in the guy at the front desk greeted me and asked me if I needed help. I told him what I needed and he directed to the copy section. I went back and the lady at the desk was helping someone I stood there for about 10 seconds or so and the lady greeted me and let me know she would be right with me. Well when it was my turn she was super friendly and of course I wasn't prepared and 4 other people lined up behind me so while I was getting my self situated she helped each one with a smile while still serving me. While I was there she helped about 7 people not including me with a smile and never once complaining, she even made me laugh a few times. Everything about my son's party has been stressful because nothing so far has went right. I went in with super low expectations and was completely shocked. The service and the product was absolutely amazing. This is what customer service is all about. From the moment I walked in even when it got hectic I felt like my business was wanted and appreciated. This has store has better service than some 5 star dining I've been to. The lady that helped me name starts with a T I don't know if I'm allowed to say her name but Office Max should really be honored to have her as a part of the team because this day decent customer service is hard to find let alone amazing service. I just want to say thank you so much to her for turning my son's birthday back into a positive and...
