Where do I even start. I've been a member at Crossfit 352 for almost 2 years now and it's the only reason i've been able to remain sane while living in Gainesville, which is less than enthusiastic for me. The coaches are awesome, Adam, Dez, and Pablo truly go above and beyond for their members. When we moved to the new location we were told "whatever you want to make this gym into we are on board with it" and Adam and Dez did just that. We have top of the line equipment to use and a beautiful and clean facility to workout in.
I've been a crossfitter for almost 4 years now and while I have my strengths and weaknesses the coaches at Crossfit 352 continue to push me. While crossfit is good for my health, I really do it so I can impress people when I say "I do crossfit and lift big weights". Therefore, my weaknesses include all cardio and gymnastics, I only focus what i'm good at, it makes me feel better myself. When I first started at this gym I already had 2 years of crossfit experience BUT I still couldn't do a pull up or some basic movements because I chose not to work on them and no one pushed me to do it. That all changed with Adam and Dez. They continued to push me and coach me until I could do a kipping pull up unassisted. They truly want to see their members succeed and become amazing crossfit athletes.
If you are looking for a place that will meet you where you're at and push you to become better then this is the place to do it. Adam knows that while I love crossfit, I also will be the first to complain about EVERYTHING and he takes it in strides and I appreciate it. If you can handle my complaining during the WOD's then I know we are a good fit and Crossfit 352 has been that good fit for me.
On top of all of that, the PEOPLE. They are bomb dot com! I don't have a ton of friends in Gainesville but i'm happy to know I have some awesome gym friends. We celebrate birthdays, milestones, and life together everyday and i'm lucky to have found these people. They make going to the gym fun and welcoming and in my opinion that is half the battle. I've visited other crossfit gyms and if I can't find people that welcome me with open arms then it doesn't motivate me to get myself to the gym and do the workout. Community is HUGE at Crossfit 352 and I am blessed to be a part of this...
Read moreI had been crossfitting for 5 years and then moved to gainesville last year. I was picky with my programming and my environment, so I gave several gyms a try. After a few workouts at 3 different gyms and a six month membership at another, I finally found my home at crossfit 352. Excellent coaching for any skill level or skill type. Coaches/Co-Owners Adam and Dez both have a great eye for detail in Olympic weightlifting and have been unbelievably welcoming, it's undeniable they care more about their members than the money; Coach Pablo is passionate and constantly promotes the longevity and well-roundedness of his members leading weekly mobility sessions and gymnastics classes; and Coach Erin is a two-time world champion gymnast having competed on the USA team for 6 years who's knowledge and experience seemlessly translates into crossfit and coaching. They offer a variety of classes such as Olympic weight lifting, mobility, gymnastics, regular crossfit classes, and have various open gym hours daily. The community is friendly, welcoming, and highly involved. Also, they're dog friendly
Read moreI'd call myself a CrossFit cynic. Coming from a rugby, weight-lifting background, you'd quicker find me joking about crossfit "the cult" and all the sometimes silly names for movements and workouts...at least I used to be that way. I still make fun of crossfit but more in the way a son makes fun of his mother for using the wrong emoji (i.e. totally harmless and done out of love). My transition from a pure cynic to a novice practitioner of this sport is all down to the awesome coaches at 352. Their enthusiasm for teaching, advising and leading by example is motivation enough. Furthermore, the atmosphere created at the box is comfortable but also competitive, technique-driven but not confusing, and organic with that new gym feel. I have met some really cool people here that have made me appreciate the difference between a family and a cult. Finally, I have seen improvements in my functional strength, stamina and mobility since starting at 352. All in all, I am...
