Brought 20 inch 6 millimeter diamond cut rope chain for my husband like with all jewelry, it had to be repair when we got it back it was a 24 inch 4 millimeter rope chain not even diamond cut. We were told that over a 6 years time span. that it had stretched (4 inches) A gold chain was supposed to have stretched 4 inches. I guess they think we were really stupid when it was took for repair the third time when I picked it up and took to my husband he said it didnât seem like the same chain I am not the one that wears it so I didnât know but lest than a week later it broke again so I took it back that is when the sales lady said it was not the same chain. The only time it was not in our possession was when it was at Gainesville jewelry. So when I confronted the manager she said oh it is the same necklace. We weighted it and it was the same chain it just stretched 4 inches and it was not a Diamond cut rope chain We left the store and went to Dimoâs. Mr Dimo says a chain doesnât stretch 4 inches My husband was getting ready to put it back on and it broke completely into. Just because people may come in right from work and donât have on a suit , they should be treated like everyone else. I have bought several things at Gainesville jewelry over the years but I will never buy anything else from them and especially take a repair .I know what I bought it was a 20 inch 6 millimeter diamond...
   Read moreI would rather not give such a low score for the sales lady but the woman that checks if jewels are real definitely lacks customer service. I have NEVER been spoken to so rudely than by her. I dont even know her name. She was a tall blond woman, first off, with breath that could kill a water buffalo. She screamed in my face towards another employee several times to help another person. Instead of saying excuse me, and going to that employee. Or discreetly getting employees attention. Then while looking through a jewelry catalog, I was told what I would like. Not asking me or showing selections which my stones would fit. She must have said 'you know what I mean' so many times, I felt like since I didnt have expertise in jewelry that I could be spoken to in such a rude manner. I was NEVER given an estimate for my stones to be reset. I truly believe this woman could single handedly ruin a business. I certainly would not employ or keep someone like this on my staff. I hope Gainesville Jewlery takes a good hard look who is representing their company. I assume that she may be a family member of this buisness. It doesn't give her the right to be so rude to customers. I will definitely take my business elsewhere. And not reccomend this jeweler. Which is a shame but I will spend my hard earned...

When I went to pick it up they ârepairedâ it with yellow gold and put in a dark grey stone (entire ring is clear stones). They said theyâd fix it and theyâd call me when itâs ready. Well, never got a phone call. I went up there a few days after and apparently ring was ready. Looked and again, dark stone (that fell out within 24 hours)âŚoh but the yellow is gone now. Now for the third time they said theyâd fix it and call me.. never got a call⌠went back to get it and now they put in a clear stone, but built the white gold up so much that it pokes out and catches on everything.
Bullet points: fixed a white gold ring with yellow gold replaced stones with whatever color they wanted never called me the three times it was fixed to say it was ready made me pay full price after all of this destroyed my ring
