Update: decided to try again. My order was wrong. No lettuce, tomato or extra pickles. Had to show receipt to get it fixed. Husband was 2 bites into his double burger, looked and realized that only one side of each piece of meat was cooked. The 2 raw red sides were together. He ended up having to show the receipt to get it fixed even though it was obvious it was not cooked.
While we were there a guy came in and ordered 2 hot dogs with saukraut and other toppings. Got it to go. Walked to his car and came back in. They had put sour cream on his hot dogs instead.
Not going back. Service and food was not good!!
Previous: Came inside to eat and had to wait for someone to finally notice us. Then he acted as if we were an inconvenience to his day. Once the food was ready, he didn't even say order number or anything, just set it on the counter and walked away.
There was a man at one table that was so loud on his phone that I couldn't hear myself order. Another kept coming in and out to check his phone that he left on the window sill. Guy on phone went and stood next to our car which was no where near his car. Man came in with a scruffy, dirty looking dog and stood inside the front door. No one said anything about the dog, even when he put it down and it walked around. Was not a family type of atmosphere. Glad I was not by myself.
Ordered a bbq chicken tray, add extra pickle. Came with only pickle, nothing else. Rest of food was okay except there was just a little okra. Hubby's order was correct and portions were normal sized.
Restaurant was clean. Would possibly use the drive thru but not go...
Read moreAt all cost you can avoid the Cookout on Jesse Jewell, they have employees that claim to be management when all they are shift leaders. When you request to get the phone number to the general manager or district manager they outright refuse. I've had bad experiences with this place but I had met one of the general managers and him and I were developing a relationship where I was helping him improve on his store. But seeing how they treat customers in the middle of the night that needs something to drink is insane. wWth a smirk on her face the young lady showed why I do not like this place. She's as bad as Trent, The girl running the drive through this evening is far from management material. Let's mention their dumpster is always overflowing and their parking lot is always a mess. . I'm amazed that cookout doesn't require their employees to wear name tags. I'm also quite surprised that they would have people with such an attitude that would stand there with a smirk on their face which is one of the most irritating and insulting things in the world. There was a saving face in the whole situation. The young lady that I last talked to was able to redirect me and calm me down by telling me how wonderful my dog looked and that I had pretty eyes. That's how you calm somebody down. Don't feed the fire like the original girl did. If that lady is the manager then they need to demote her and put the other lady in her place. It's too bad they wouldn't give me names because I like to compliment as well as complain. Have a wonderful evening and...
Read moreOne star only because that's the only way to leave a review. Firstly, I want to say that we always come to this Cookout, my husband was a manager here at one point and we still liked to support the brand. Tonight that brand loyalty was lost. My husband and I and our 2 kids had just made it into town from my great aunt's memorial service. At 1:26am we pull into the cookout drive thru line where there were 5 cars in n front of ours. We waited and waited and waited and one car was able to place their order, more waiting ensued until finally it was our turn to order When we pull up to the speaker we were rudely told "we are closed". No apology for wasting half an hour of our time, no courtesy to the 6 customers behind us who waited even longer than we did, just rude terrible example of customer service from a business that's business IS customer service. This next part is where Cookout lost a family that comes here several times a week. I called the inside to ask what happened tonight with being so slow and not serving until the drive thru line is fine which is their policy. The manager Junior, told me that he was trying not to get rude with me but the workers were tired and ready to go home. COOKOUT: JUST BECAUSE YOU GIVE SOMEONE THE TITLE MANAGER, DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE ANY GOOD AT THE JOB. GET...
