GameStop — Local services in Galax

Our stop at the GameStop in Galax was unplanned, but we're glad we did stop in. We found several games in the "Preowned" rack that were bargains, and a new Lego Dimensions at a price much better than Walmart and Amazon! The employees were helpful but let us browse without bothering us. One employee -- January -- was very helpful in letting us know about the sales and deals, took the time to explain the particulars of the Lego Dimensions system (which is new to us), and patiently looked up my membership number that I had lost because it had been years since I had used it. She even took the time to update my information in the system -- and all with a smile. Both she and the male employee that were working seemed to really enjoy their jobs and appreciated their customers. This is definitely a store that I plan to return to, even though its a bit...

Been going here for years, great store but sorely understaffed. They now only have one worker (thanks corporate!) to handle customers, answer the phone, unpack boxes and stack shelves. Was trying to find out if they had something in stock & it took 17 PHONE CALLS over 5 DAYS for someone to finally answer the phone. Unfortunately, with this kind of (lack of) service, I'll have to go somewhere else or buy online instead of wasting all my time trying to get someone on the phone. And they even have to close the store ("Computer down... back in 10 minutes" sign) every time the staff member has to use the bathroom. No way to...

Love the people that work there. The girl that helped me was kind friendly and easy to talk to. They don't give you much value for your merchandise though. They give you less than half of what you paid for it. But that's not the workers that's the company of course. But they would definitely get more business if they gave you more for...
