Absolutely Appalling! Carnival's Culinary Catastrophe Our recent Carnival cruise was nothing short of a culinary nightmare, especially for Indian vegetarians. The lack of suitable options was beyond unacceptable. Forget diverse or delicious, breakfast and lunch were a daily struggle to find anything remotely edible. Vegetarian? You're an Afterthought: Forget about authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine. Forget about basic lentils or a simple vegetable curry. The "vegetarian" options were pathetic â limp salads, flavorless pasta, and the same overcooked vegetables day in and day out. It felt like an insult to both vegetarians and Indian cuisine. Special Requests? Ignored: We specifically requested Indian vegetarian options when booking, and again with the dining staff onboard. Our requests were met with blank stares and shrugged shoulders. It's clear Carnival has zero commitment to accommodating dietary needs beyond the most basic. Buffet Boredom: The buffet was a wasteland of greasy, repetitive dishes. Even the fruit was often unripe or bland. The only saving grace was the dessert section, but sweets can't sustain you for an entire cruise. Dining Staff Disinterested: The dining staff seemed indifferent to our plight. Forget helpful suggestions, they barely understood the concept of a vegetarian diet, let alone an Indian one. This wasn't just a "bad meal" here or there. This was a systemic failure to provide basic, edible food for a significant portion of their passengers. If you're an Indian vegetarian, avoid Carnival cruises like the plague. You'll be better off...
Read moreIf you like to get what you pay for DO not cruise with Carnival. I was on the ship for 7 days and did NOT have a good meal UNLESS I paid more for it! The first day on the ship the closed the buffet at 3:30 then had no other food to eat other than pizza and burgers. I did NOT spend all this money to eat pizza and burgers . Then the steak we had for dinner was so gross we sent it back . The second day on the ship we went for breakfast again so disgusting we sent it back. For the first three days on the ship I ate literally only 4 bites of food because the food was not even Applebees quality! Then day 3 we went to a different restaurant with water leaking from the ceiling and into my food and hair . When it was brought to the attention of the staff they did nothing but nod . Also waited 20 minutes at the bar without anyone even acknowledging I was there . Was sent to 2 different bars with the same name to get a fishbowl drink for which I would have paid 45 but guess what out of fishbowlâs on day 3 ! So ridiculous. Also waiting on elevators took forever! Was a dirty pillowcase in my room when I arrived and the alcohol I ordered wasnât delivered until day 2 so the first day we spent and extra 100 on drinks . Overall I would NEVER cruise with Carnival again . Everything is extra . The only free food you get is gross so if plan on eating you will pay extra . Also NO name brand soda . Itâs all knock off soda that was flat! My opinion is that I would rather burn up money in the ashtray then go on...
Read moreSo I went on Carnibal.Breeze Dec 4th- 9. I actually cried by day 3 because I was so disappointed. The drinks were super sweet and had to be watered down with water everytime. They were like syrup. This was my very 1st cruise. I asked other what I should expect so I was super excited. Just to be let down. The food was lack luster...everytime I went to my time dinning it took and hour or more for my food to come. Dinner service was super late and the kept forgetting food or a drink I ordered. After sitting for an hour I was done. The waiter offered us juice in a shot glass and before we could say no, he was already walking away to get it. He comes back with these glasses with Carnival on them. At this point we have already stood to leave....he's like no, take them with you. Later we find out that we were charged for them despite not even asking for them. The chicken and waffles at brunch seemed like there were fried 2 days before. Our cruise director was fun but it was hard to get into anything because I was always hungry. If it wasn't for Guy's I would've rated this cruise a 0 star. I don't think I'll go with carnival every again. This was a terrible experience. Cozumel was great but that also has nothing to do with Carnival. Progresso seemed like a last minute stop and I wouldn't want to go there again on a vacation. All in All, I give Carnival a 0 start. The steakhouse was AMAZING with Vibin the chef. He would be the only reason o would go back on a...
