Jonathan M Romano Skate Park — Attraction in Galveston

Awesome place to skate when in Galveston This is a great small local park right around the corner from our favorite surf and skate shop on the island #OHanaSurfAndSkate

• Great area to learn and get comfortable • Room to practice kick flips and Ollie's • Small quarter pipe area • Long tails to slide • Bigger easy roll-in area with Carve Bowl • Nice roll over humps and transitions • Great Big Bowl and Huge Drop Ins • Nice donuts hole transition/drop in • Some pretty intense loop area for pros • Not too crowded • Negative? (bikes and scooters allowed)

Overall a great skate park...

I don't consider this place perfect but I always have a good time. I wouldn't consider it a beginner's park or a expert park either. It's equally difficult for both haha but if you have heart and aren't afraid to fall a few times then it's actually alot of fun. It's also about as close as you'll get to feeling like you are skating venice Beach in the 80's. Great park. Right on seawall and within walking distance to the Pier and restaurants. This park has something for everyone.
