Galvez Shopping Center — Local services in Galveston

TARGET: Staff greets guests upon entry. Quiet, yet friendly atmosphere. Great store to bring children with sensory issues. (Decent selection of sensory toys available also!) Great place for in and out shopping or taking your time. Restrooms are fairly clean. ZENITH DENTAL: New to area. From outside looking in, very clean and relaxing atmosphere. DOLLAR TREE: clean and clutter-free... unless you arrive on a stocking day, then there may be a few U-Boats with boxes stacked up, but never blocking cart access. Very organized. Friendly and helpful staff. HOME DEPOT: it's Home Depot, clean, organized, healthy live plants, great seasonal selections, and friendly staff. Other stores: All appear clean from the outside. Not a patron, but I'm guessing it's friendly service. PLAZA: Massive, clean shared parking lot, several spaces available for wheelchair...

I visit this plaza almost daily to go to The Home Depot, as well as, an occasional visit to Pet Smart and the rare trip into Target. The grounds and parking lot are extremely well kept and traffic always moves freely and without chaos. There is an array of stores from the ones already mentioned, along with some small shops, a tire shop and a bank. The parking lot is massive and VERY well lit during the hours businesses are open after sundown, allowing shoppers to return to their vehicles as safely as possible (but remember people, still keep your wits about you and dont let your guard down just cause you think everyone can see you so nothing bad will happen). Target is an established brand and you know exactly what to expect. As is common this day in age opportunity exists in both staffing and employee initiative. I was greeted promptly and in a friendly way. I only needed a few targeted items and was able to navigate the store easily. Store was clean and orderly. Pharmacist came out to help me locate an item I can as having trouble finding. My only complaint would be the lack of checkout lines. My arms were full and I preferred not to use the self check. Checkout in the only open line too...
