Read all the way through, it’s worth it. Ive stayed in a lot of Galveston hotels, some cheaper than this one and this is by far the worst one yet. Here’s why: Week before trip called hotel asked if check in was 18 or 21 they said 21. Then get to hotel June 3rd and go to check in and they say “it’s an extra charge for the security deposit since we’re under 25, fine whatever but they could’ve put that in the booking info when I booked the room. Lady at front desk that day was super helpful and nice (June 3rd around 1-2pm) Get to room, floor is clearly not vacuumed, sheets have stains on them, and I found at least 3 dark hairs (we’re both blonde) then the poster above the bed had some drip marks with chunks in them (looked like puke) all over the painting above the bed. The other bed had the same painting with no chunky liquid on it so that’s how I know it’s not just the painting. Room phone didn’t work to even call the lobby. Later that day after being on beach all day went to take a shower but guess what?!?! no shower curtain! Just great. So we had to go get it from the lobby at 11pm, get the curtain put it up ourselves then start the shower and the tub isn’t draining so I’m showering while standing in 3 in of dirty, sandy water. Whatever I’ll move on. Room keys stopped working twice, had to walk alllll the way around the building to the lobby entrance to get them to work again. The WiFi is supposed to be free, it wasn’t. Had to sign up for a reward program to access it and then it wasn’t connecting to the internet so it still wasn’t working, so WE had to go down to the lobby again and they gave us access to the associate wifi that worked eventually. Very last straw and the reason I made this review!! So this morning (June 6th) was checkout normal time is 11am Last night (June 5th) I called the front desk and asked them to charge the card on file to let us check out late. Was told it’s $40 and we’ll be able to check out from 12-1 and I told her to go ahead and charge the card, she said will do, said thanks and hung up. This morning (June 6th) we are both woken up to the hotel room phone ringing, sat up to answer but it ended so I firgured it was a miss call and laid back down and then we hear a bunch of knocking on the door and a lady yelling “front desk” a ton (at 11:40am) and then she just opens the door??? Before we could even get out of bed to go get it. Then she said it was “almost 12” and just walks away?? So I had to call the desk back (11:50am) and tell her that we paid extra money to check out from 12-1 She said it’s not $40 it’s $60 but going off the time it is now it’s only $50 and I said yeah that’s fine whatever but we’ve already been woken up so at this point I’m so fed up. We get off the phone, she said she was going to charge the card. Again very rude lady this day. THEN we take stuff out to the car, go back for the rest and then the room keys stopped working AGAIN. A second time. Had to go back to get them fixed. So overall it was awful, I’m surprised this hotel is still open with the way...

Only person who was nice and considerate of me and my family was Keisha. The manager and owner did not want to compensate or offer any thing I wanted as their employee misinformed about my stay at check in and I had to find out the next morning after already leaving to visit nearby areas within Galveston as this was my and family’s first time in the city. I felt that I needed to call to ask that my stay was until Sunday as I checked in early Saturday around 2/3am, the male clerk stated and assured my stay would be until 11am Sunday. But I felt the price was too good to be true is what made me follow up noon Saturday and sure enough the day staff(Keisha) informed me my stay was over and wasn’t until Sunday as stated and assured by the male overnight staff whose name I did not get. Not only did he misinform me but he had me waiting and waiting just to get in the building as he was just on his phone with headphones on not paying attention or can even hear if anyone is at the door. Keisha informed me that it sounded as I was mislead but can only offer a late check out by manager and owner discretion. I told her I was not happy with that and wanted to talk to manager directly. Manager then came to ask if I needed to be retold the information and I told him no as I understand their info but they needed to understand me and the information I was mislead about. I then was told the owner would be coming and I can talk to him then Keisha offered me to talk to him by phone for him to tell me he can’t come in because he’s busy. The owner then assumed I wanted something for free which wasn’t true and made me feel discriminated. Owner told me I signed something that told me I knew how long I was staying for which wasn’t true. I only signed a form that states if I smoked or brought pets in room that I would be charged 250$. Owner told me he was in business to make money and not give handouts. I never asked for anything free but something to make me happy leaveing, he said he could let me have a late check out but that was it. Couldn’t even compensate half my money at the very least. The man who checked me in said it would be 144 flat rate and 165 plus 25 to stay til 11am Sunday. The owner argued the room don’t even cost 144 but the receipt I asked for when leaving showed otherwise. Makes no sense. I would never advise anyone to stay here and if you do ask for some type of proof of stay for length of stay...

So, we decided to stay here for Memorial Day Weekend in Galveston as this place was relatively new in the area and was a great spot to come and go from our trips to the beach. Please be aware, your GPS when finding this place will take you far around to the rear through back streets. If you get off on the feeder road after the causeway, you can make a quick right turn into it with no issues.

Lots of good parking, most of which is covered in an open garage style lot. To drive to the entrance requires you to go up a huge one way ramp. Once you have your room key. You can access the elevator which makes this better.

The hotel is pretty new, so it looks great on the inside. However, we're not sure how long it'll stay this way or if service will improve.

1.) Our room door was open when we got there which was off putting. We made it inside to find it was clean and spacious, but still lacked proper bath towels, which we had to go down and get.

2.) The woman at the front counter seemed to have been working the front counter for more than 24 hours straight. She seemed tired and irritated. She was there when we checked in around 4pm, there when we got an extra blanket around midnight, there when I was up around 3am, and also there in the morning. Crazy shift. They need to hire more people as this is a lot to put on one person. She tried her best though, so I'm not saying she did a bad job, but the hotel manager should look into more potential employees.

3.) The breakfast. I took photos to show you. Its pre-packaged muffins, bars and snacks/fruit. They have frozen pancake/sausage corn dogs and frozen breakfast sandwiches to heat up. NOT an ideal breakfast for a hotel like this, but that's what they have. We went out for brunch instead.

4.) If you like to sleep with a heavy blanket, BRING ONE. Their blankets are super thin especially considering how cold the room can get.

5.) The shower was also pretty small. If you wanna shower with your spouse, you may wanna take turns because one of you is gonna be cold, standing behind the other one, waiting for them to get out or change spots to shower.

All in all,...the experience here was,...ok. if they could make a few changes, this places could be amazing. As it stands though,...still a good choice for the most part. Just lower your...

When we walked in we were greeted by the friendly front desk attendant he allowed us to leave our bags at the front while we waited for our room to be ready . We were pleasantly surprised by the clean lobby and felt like we hit the jackpot as This location was ideal as it’s close to the cruise port and very close to local restaurants and shops. When we checked into our room we were sourly disappointed to realize that our sheets were filthy from Top to bottom sheet. Huge brown stains on the top very wrinkled cover and hair , crumbs, and possibly dirt on the sheets . We were going to call the front desk to tell them about our sheets when our door opened up to a family (wife husband and kids ) with a key to our room as they were under the impression that this was their room as they were given a key and room number . We called the font desk immediately to let them know what just happened and we received a fumbling and quick apology and he hung up. We knew right there there would be no point in communicating our issues . Fortunately for us there is a target accross the street so we purchased pillowcase and a blankets for the one day stay. When we returned to our room our key wasn’t working and we were told by the front desk they they needed to give us a new set (assuming it was due to their mistake from earlier). While the staff is friendly enough the clean lobby is not a reflection of the rooms. If you’re simply looking for a space to lay your head for an evening this will due . The highlight of the stay would probably be the Texas shaped waffle at breakfast.

I wasn't going to share this review as I wanted to talk to management. It wasn't met with understanding, but rather my fault that I didn't bring up the issues before checking out. Which I did on several occasions. With housekeeping and front desk! Our room was never stocked with the necessities such as shampoo, conditioner, and clean towels. We had towels that were used and just folded and restocked. I asked housekeeping to replace them politely and was met with agitation and attitude. The second time I asked them for shampoo and conditioner and new towels and again I was met with attitude them given towels and shampoo from thier cart and was asked to stock my own room and bring her our dirty towels. Not to mention the room was very dirty. Not even a surface clean. There was mold in the trash cans and on the bathroom floor. For being a new hotel, we were hoping for a better experience. The general manager was laughing as it was a joke that my complaints were to get something for free. I have no problem paying for what we use. I told him that I'd love to resolve this rather than leave a review. He scoffed and said he would credit me $50 on a $500 bill. And a free night with the purchase of one. In my opinion, that is very unfair!
