Really enjoyed our shopping experience there. Good quality and fair prices, and Braden's 4 rules of shoes are awesome (you'll have to ask him). However, we had what we've come to refer to as our "suit saga" that was not so great. Alterations have been a nightmare - poorly done, then they tried to tell us the suits looked fine (they didn't) or that pressing would fix it (it didn't), or that my son's back was just too straight (???). I ended up fixing the pooching seams myself - I dared to fix the THIRD alteration. And to be honest, it was getting better each time. But I was really tired of the process. Found that the seamstress just didn't taper the seam gradually and that's what caused the pooching seam on the back. Annoyed that I had to do it myself, when I paid to have it professionally done, not to mention the 3 weeks it took going back and forth. The suits look much...

I needed to buy a white shirt last-minute for my 11 year old son, and because of scheduling issues couldn't even bring him with me to the store for shopping. He can be tough to fit, as he is "big and tall" so I brought in one of his current button-up shirts that fits him to show the associate Matt. He measured the shirt then told me to wait for a minute and he would be back with the right size. When I brought the shirt home and later that evening my son was able to try it on, the fit was beautiful! I'm sure if I had gone anywhere else, I would have spent a long time trying to figure out the right shirt and then probably had to bring home several options to find one that would work. If you have a smaller kid that needs a suit in the Boise area do yourself a favor and just go to Petersen's. My son is twelve and we wanted to get him a suit, he's super skinny around the neck and waist, but not tall enough for mens sizes. We went to the mall and checked JC Penny, Macys, Dillards, Kohls and Ross and couldn't even find a suit, shirt, pants, belts or even shoes. 15 minutes after getting to Petersen's we were walking out with a 3 piece suit and dress shirt. We didn't like the shoe styles so we ended up ordering 6 pairs on Amazon and sending the ones back we didn't want.
