We had an event for Knights of Columbus family dinner here, at the banquet room. For my husband and Init was our first time at this restaurant. We don’t eat out often due to allergies…. This visit was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the exceptional service and hospitality of our servers, Laurie and Karra (so sorry if I got the names wrong!) From the moment we were seated, they went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience, especially for my husband who has celiac disease and other allergies. Often, dining out with dietary restrictions can be stressful, with limited options and the worry of cross-contamination so that’s why many times my husband makes a decision to not to eat at all and tonight was going to be that case as well. However, Laurie immediately put our minds at ease, assuring us that the chefs would take special care in preparing a safe and delicious meal for my husband. While the rest of us enjoyed our salads, they even brought him celery and olives to snack on – a thoughtful gesture that truly touched us. The chefs crafted a wonderful off-menu dish for my husband, allowing him to fully participate in the dining experience. It's not often that he gets to enjoy a meal out with confidence and peace of mind. Laurie and Karra’s attentiveness and genuine care made him feel special and included, turning what could have been an isolating experience into a truly enjoyable one. Beyond the outstanding service, the food itself was amazing. My steak was cooked to perfection – a beautiful pink center with a flavorful sear. This dining experience was a testament to the dedication and teamwork of the entire staff. From our beautiful and wonderful servers, Laurie and Karra, to the talented chefs and the owner who has cultivated such a positive and accommodating environment, thank you!! 🙏🏻 You have turned a simple meal into a cherished memory. We are truly grateful for the experience and highly recommend this place to anyone seeking delicious food and exceptional service. Thank you...
Read moreMy recent visit to Outback Steakhouse on Overland in Boise, Idaho, was a delightful experience that left me both satisfied and impressed. This location upholds the Outback reputation for hearty meals and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a must-visit for locals and visitors alike.
The meal started on a high note with one of our all-time favorite appetizers, the Bloomin' Onion. This iconic Outback dish was as good as ever - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor. It set the stage perfectly for the main courses.
I opted for the 6 oz Filet Mignon, and it was nothing short of perfection. Cooked precisely to my medium-rare preference, the steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It was accompanied by homestyle mashed potatoes and fresh seasonal veggies, both of which were excellent sides that complemented the steak beautifully.
My dining companion chose the Outback Center-Cut Sirloin, cooked medium. This dish, too, was a hit. The sirloin was flavorful and cooked exactly as ordered, showcasing the skill of the kitchen. The broccoli was a little over cooked and not as crisp and fresh as the ones on my plate, and the steakhouse potato was a hearty and delicious accompaniment.
What truly stood out at this Outback location was the attentive and friendly service. The staff were welcoming and efficient, ensuring our meal was enjoyable and that we had everything we needed.
In conclusion, Outback Steakhouse on Overland in Boise offers a fantastic dining experience. With its consistently delicious food, comfortable ambiance, and excellent service, it's a place we would happily recommend to anyone looking for a satisfying steakhouse meal. Whether you're a fan of a classic steak dinner or just in the mood for a tasty appetizer like the Bloomin' Onion, this Outback location will...
Read moreSo. To start this off we called and were placed on a waitlist. And then we recieved a text stating that our table was ready so we headed in. Then we were told they dont do texts and that we had to wait another 15-20 mins even though the numbers we had checked out as their number and they checked. And that was fine. As I work in the industry I understand everyones understaffed and sometimes things get messed up so we said okay and waited. Then it took about 20 minutes for our drink order to get to our table . And about an hour for appetizers. Which was still fine . They were busy and I understood . 2 hours after we put our order in we got our food and it was all alright except for the fact my steak was cold so I complained. And although they did "heat up" my steak which is cross contamination and NOT something you should be doing with anyone's already cut and touched food and gave me more ribs to try to make up for it they were extremely rude and tried to say my steak was cold cuz I went to my car for a feminine product and they thought I went to smoke. They were very rude considering the fact I just asked they make it right I waited 2 hours and received a cold bloody steak. They tried saying my food that I waited 2 hours for was cold because I went to the bathroom. And tried to explain that while sounding absolutely ridiculous trying to do so , as I'm a cook. With covid going on - I wouldnt suggest going here since the manager ( who handled most of the situation) doesnt value your health or any...
