We first entered. The girl at the front started to ring us up. I found out it’s cheaper online so I told her I would go ahead and purchase them there instead. She said okay and I stepped back. After purchasing, she insisted that I couldn’t redeem them that day and had to wait another week to redeem them? I said well why didn’t you mention that before? No answer. I said that doesn’t make sense. She looked at my phone, said she was gonna keep it right there and she’d be right back. I had to complete my registration on the site to even redeem them. I kept telling her this. She rolls her eyes and goes and gets her manager who then explains to her that she would just have to do a redemption smh We then go to the skate rental. The boy there gives me the wrong size even when I told him it was the wrong size. He then tried to argue with me and say oh that’s what was in the shoe. I said no it’s not. I looked in the shoe and it clearly says 5Y. He gave us a 3Y. I go to get 4 skate assist from the skate rental. I’m told I have to go to the front to go get tickets from them. Paid $20 for them. Go back to the skate rental and was only given 3 when paid for 4. When told the same person we had given him 4 tickets, he then just pushes the 4th skate assist out. No apology or acknowledgment. As we are walking past the play center, the person supposed to be managing (Nick) that area decides to snatch one of the skate assist from the child using it and then gives it to another woman sitting down. When I approached him about this, he stated oh you’re supposed to have a wristband when you get one. We take it back from him, give it to the child that we paid for to have it, advise him that’s not what the skate rental representative did. He then stammers to get his manager. Okay, fine. She then comes over, says oh well they must’ve been so excited that they left without their wristbands. I advised her ma’am, a 29 year old that isn’t skating wouldn’t be excited and leave without what’s required. Does she reprimand Nick? Of course not. Does he apologize? Definitely not. Oh and let’s not forget, WE SAW NOT ONE OTHER CHILD USING THESE ASSIST WEARING A WHITE WRISTBAND INCLUDING THE KIDS HE DECIDED TO GIVE OURS TO! This Kate’s needs some customer service training as well as how to not be...
Read moreLook Ive been skating my whole life of almost 40 years. This place "seems" nice but the staff if just ridiculous or maybe just their rules. Let me explain- I take my kids during slow hours which means there isnt many people there. This manager seems to need to find his fulfillment in his job. Every time my kids would stop on the wall to take a quick breather, a member of staff coming marching over to me and my kids in a rude way, snapping "keep it moving!!" ?? Like excuse me? 1. Who are yall snappy at? 2. My kids are normally the only ones on the rink when we go? maybe 2-4 other people. I understand rules and typically have no problem with them even when they dont makes sense but this one reason alone is why I will never come back to this location. I dont bring my kids skating and have fun for management to be snappy all because my kid stops for literally 10 secs on the wall. Like seriously, my youngest is just learning to skate so of course she runs to the wall when trying to stop as she is still learning and every single time she has done it, either this manager or his staff comes running to my kid yelling " keep it moving!!!" now my kids dont even wanna be here- thanks kate for not posting your ridiculous rules at the door and a waste of my time and money- We really appreciated the bullying from your staff today! 😒 edit after management reply- I didn't "take" it rudely- it was just rude- you have huge sign at the front entrance that says "skate at your own risk" - so to scream across the floor "keep it moving" because a new skater is using the wall to stop for literally 2 secs while theres only 3 people on the floor- that isnt safety standards - thats just bad management- we wont...
Read moreWe were over charged to start with. Had to get a refund (in house refund). Requested Gospel music (that we called ahead of time to see if we could and were told yes) then when we got there they gave us a hard time about playing Gospel. Then someone in our party brought a b day cake and didn't realize there was a $50 cake fee. They asked her to take it out and she did. Then stopped her at the door WHILE she was complying (after she had already apologized) and harassed her for the $50. He said they watched her cut and keep serving even though that was NOT true. They kept telling our kids to keep moving when they paused on the wall. Only our kids even when others clearly did the same. Only after I pointed that out did they make it for other people. When I pointed it out the excuse was they were "going to" but they moved too soon. No outside food is allowed but another group had Chic Fil A. When that was pointed out the manager asked who. I pointed out there was only one more group and to open his eyes. The whole experience was bad and our group will lose the $5 summer pass before we will come back here. A complete waste of almost $50. *in response to their reply. Yes, you did play the music (a couple of times) AFTER we pointed out the fact that you didn't before. if they would have just asked her to take it out that would have been fine. But that is NOT what happened. As she was taking it out she was stopped again (by the same person)and harassed for the $50 and told that he had watched her slice and continue to serve the cake. Which DID NOT happen. You all asking her to take it out was ok. But the continued harassment from your staff was completely uncalled for and why we will...
