I got there around 6:20 pm, or so. I realized they were closing at 7pm, so hurried to find myself a pair of boots. Nobody asked if I needed any help, but hey, it's 2023 right ? I did indeed find, after some looking, a nice pair of Laredo's... upon putting the other boots I tried on, with the stuffing back in 'em, best as I could,so the next customer could enjoy the experience and no employees would have to do extra work, I made my way towards the counter, stood there after placing my boot box on the counter, thinking the guy across on the other side of the counter was another customer in need of help, he finally steps around and starts ringing me up, no words, mind you,so I didn't say anything either, until after my card went was accepted...then there was some kind of glitch while waiting on my receipt... meanwhile the phone was ringing while I was pulling up my bank to make sure everything was good..the phone rang, the young guy says " should I answer" ??? The guy who rang me up says "no, I would--,rest I didn't hear what he said... time was 6:34 pm ... plenty of time to maybe help someone I thought. The gentleman gave me my receipt and I started walking, he finally said "have a good day ",or something to that effect,as I said yup,you to. I like my boots, I think I got a fair price. The customer service freaking sucked though. I've helped run a retail store before, when the phone rang and I was on the clock,I always answered it, I didn't want nobody to make a useless trip, always wanting to tell them the closing time or I'd be glad to help em tomorrow. Same way if it was time to go and someone was trying to make their final purchases. Dang shame I'll tell ya ! It doesn't matter what you pay folks sometimes, you wouldn't get any better service if they was making what they are really worth. My hope is everyone steps it up there and the owners show both of em my review. That'd be good enuff-...
Read moreupdate* Came back a 2nd time this year to buy more shoes from them. Totally different experience. Was hounded from the start from workers. One girl with brown hair and glasses asked if she could help us no less than 7 times in 15 minutes. At one point trying to take a box of shoes I was taking to a chair to try on. She said she wanted to bag them up for me. My wife and I just looked at her confused.... Why would she want to take the shoes to the front before I tried them on? On another occasion she just came back to the Hoka section and said she had to look at something in-between us.... so weird, but whatever.. we left the aisle. When we did, she immediately went away without looking at anything. Between her 7 interruptions and another workers 3 it was a bit ridiculous in 15 minutes of shopping.. Bring Jon back. He was a great salesman... Not over bearing. We left today without buying the shoes I came for out of irritation. Heading to Charlotte now to find another place to shop.
Jon was so helpful today. He helped me find a shoe for my broken foot recovery for over 45 minutes with a smile on his face. Must have went through 10 shoes. Very patient and informative. Give him a raise. My Hokas are awesome. Fit great. Again. Give...
Read moreâď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ If Cinderella had met her Fairy Godmother at Leboâs instead of that dusty pumpkin patch, her glass slipper wouldâve actually fit â because Lauren wouldâve measured her foot properly.
We waltzed into Leboâs thinking we knew our shoe sizes. Spoiler: we didnât. Thanks to universal âmom logicâ (buying shoes too big so weâd âgrow into themâ), weâve been stomping through life in the wrong size for YEARS. Enter Lauren: calm, collected, and juggling more customers than a Vegas blackjack dealer â yet still making us feel like the VIP table.
She handed us options like a runway stylist pulling gowns: âTry this, now that, walk around, see how it feels.â And suddenly â BAM. The sweet spot. Our true sizes, revealed like a dramatic soap opera twist.
But hereâs the kicker: Lauren didnât just see us as two random customers with sore feet. She treated us as a unit â respected, acknowledged, and cared for. Thatâs the kind of service money canât buy (but good shoes can).
So hereâs the tea: if your feet are screaming, or if youâre tired of pretending that a size 10 âkinda fits,â go see Lauren at Leboâs Gastonia. Sheâs not just selling shoes â sheâs rewriting destinies, one perfectly fitted...
