Update: apparently Crosswinds did see this review. Didn't feel it was necessary to say anything to me but used one of my photos on their site. Found out because Google sent me email that the picture was getting a lot of attention. Nice, Crosswinds. I didn't realize when I added this update that it would change the date of the post. The original post (everything below) was posted August 2021 TL;DR (1-5 scale): Service: 1- non existent, Food: 2 - meh, Ambience: 4 - nice view, Dining: 3 - OK if your table is clean, Overall: 1 - like paying too much for fast food and then taking it to the park to eat. We missed the warning that there is a very distinct difference between going there before 5p and after 5.... unfortunately, they don't tell you that. Before 5pm (we arrived at 4p) you go to a bartender standing behind a carnie like table and place your order. They ask inside or patio. We said patio. We order and she gives me the total and asks if I want to tip. I'm thinking I am paying ahead for food and service so I tip. Then she asks for my cell number. That's when I learn it is so I know to come back up and get the food. The food arrives in a couple carry out bags. It is edible, but I can't say it is good for the cost. When we were finished I noticed another customer go to a station in the back corner of the outdoor seating to get a spray bottle and wash cloth to wipe down their table. I wonder how long that has been there and how many times it has been used....and what it has been used to clean. When we were leaving, I was going to throw my trash in the covered trash can until I saw it said cans only. So I brought up our bags and put them in the trash beside where we ordered. The person behind the counter looked confused that I did that. Maybe the locals know not to eat there before 5??

Reservations for 6 for 6:45pm. Had to ask the waitress three different times for straws. She was however, very thorough with explaining the menu and especially the meat portion. She didn’t take our orders until about 7:10. Food didn’t get to the table until 7:55 (luckily the cheese plate appetizer that we ordered came to the table before that)- my grandpa is diabetic and he needed food ASAP at this point. Food was okay, overall. But one persons chicken was completely burnt on the bottom, yet barely warm. I got the shrimp scampi pasta, which wasn’t that impressive (even though it was one of the more popular dishes). The pasta was homemade fresh, but there wasn’t much flavor of the dish overall. Prices are high, due to fresh, local ingredients... which is understandable. When it got dark outside, there was barely enough lighting to see the check. A party beside us used a small flashlight to sign for their bill. We had to do the same thing. So basically, the lighting is horrible when it’s dark outside. Disappointing. Will not be coming back here.

We came here for our anniversary trip and were really looking forward to a special dinner. Overall, the meal was enjoyable! I ordered the chicken and potatoes, which were delicious, and we sat out on the patio with a lovely view. Service was friendly but could have been more attentive, especially given the price point—it seemed like our server was stretched a bit thin, even though the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. My husband ordered the steak medium, but it arrived very rare. We didn’t send it back, so that’s on us, but something to note. He still said the flavor was good. I started with the Caesar salad, which was just okay—not bad, but nothing special. We might have been better off ordering one of the specials, and I think our expectations were just quite high going in. That said, it’s a beautiful spot and definitely make time to walk down to the private beach afterward—it was a perfect way to end the evening!

Attempted to eat here while in town this past Saturday for dinner. We called a couple weeks prior to our visit as we had a party of 7. We were told they could only accommodate 6 inside, but we could eat outside as it was first come first serve. Upon arrival the hostess was extremely rude and immediately said we have nothing for you, that we couldn't even wait for a table because they won't allow people to stand on the property even though there was a line of people when we initially arrived. We even asked if they could take our name and we could leave and come back and were told no they wouldn't even take names. We saw a large party leave the outdoor eating area and asked if she could check to make sure something hadn't opened up. She walked off annoyed to just return and say "yea i have nothing for you". There was a couple standing just inside the hostess area where they were serving wine and when we asked why they were allowed to stand there and wait we were told because they have a table. Ok well then why aren't they sitting at it when you're telling us you aren't allowed to stand and wait and they were even holding drinks which is the main reason she told us ppl weren't allowed to wait. We decided to just leave as they clearly didn't want our business. Will never return as the staff was very rude and spoke to us in a nasty tone from the moment we arrived and we were just trying to understand the situation since we had been told something completely different over the phone. I understand there are protocols and precautions bc of covid but we had no issue eating at other restaurants in the area and I find it strange they will only give you a table if you walk up at the most opportune moment that they happen to have a table available. Terrible way to...

I was highly disappointed the management was rude and condescending. My scallops were full of sand, my mother ordered shrimp and they tasted like they were frozen and then fried in a deep fryer and put over old rice. My sister ordered the pierogies that tasted like an old cut of meat that was fried into a pierogi. The manager even contemplated on tasting my scallops at the table . I could go on and on and on about how disgusting the food was. The waitress Erin should be fired she was extremely ignorant and absolutely no tableside Manor. She never even offered us the beef board which we knew nothing about because it was our first time ever dying there . When I asked her how come people were ordering these delicious-looking hamburgers why was that not on the menu her reply was oh with that have been something that you would have liked . Just other disgusted . We returned our entrees because of the poor quality. We told the manager that we would gladly pay for our beverages salads and the loaf of bread that they charge you for. They removed some of the items from the check as the waitress came over and threw it at me, at this point the manager comes the whole bill. They never offered us a piece of dessert how they could fix the entrees or even a glass of wine. We did however walk up to the waitress to give her a tip, and she rudely in the middle of the dining room said ohh well isn't that a lot of money under her breath as she took the money, then called my sister a crazy person. This is supposed to be a high-class restaurant seems more to me like as if some sort of a zoo. I highly do not suggest wasting your money or your time on such poor service. Dining at this establishment does not even qualify for a one-star. Extremely unsatisfying and...
