Autumn Leaves of Georgetown — Local services in Georgetown

Mother is doing well. 2nd month. Dogs can visit too with vaccination. Mom adjusted after a couple of months. I believe it is the family's decision making this emotionally tormenting time more aggressious with only 1 star reviews. These 1 star reviews have not seen some of the places I have visited over the last 2 years.

When mom first arrived back in July 2021, I came twice a week. First night mom was tired and I just put her in bed and she went into deep slumber. I gave The Reserves at Georgetown 5 Stars 🌟 because the program is **Montessori. If you are not familiar with Montessori it's basically the caretakers gives care at the level the individual is at in their life.

My mother is absolutely physically healthy. Her brain may have lost memory but her body and character is still blossoming. Michele and Dorothy are two of my favorite employees there. They send me pictures, helped me in my personal grieving process. They keep me updated as I am a traveling nurse (25 years as RN). Giving the entire facility 1 star 🌟 as a health-care professional auditor shows "anger." Realistic expectations has to be understood by people who are not aware what actually is happening when you are not there. I am there. I see people doing pleasant activities or doing whatever they physically can do based upon Montessori.

My mother plays the Grand Piano daily. Her last facility made all residents stay in their rooms because of fear of CV19 and told her not to play the piano because of noise. My mother also functions as a "helper" in the nutrition department. She needs to be worthy or goal oriented so I asked if she could have a "Job." Mom believes she is there as a nutrition attendant. She absolutely loves telling me about her new role. I can't tell you how many things Michele and Dorothy do Monday-Friday to ensure my mom is happy. My mom is a hard person to manage because she is a born princess.

Yes, my mother can be a pain because she wants tons of attention but the facility gives my mother anything she needs and more. Her hair stylist colors and cuts her hair, mother's room is beautiful and spacious. The janitorial workers are always cleaning and shampooing the carpet, furniture, and touch surfaces. I maybe biased because I am a nurse. I don't see how anyone there could have bed bugs? The place is luxury living. The price point is right at moderate for accommodation.

My mother never danced in her life but is now full on dancing, fashion shows, and of course her avid love of music and Korean Netflix Movie.

I decorated my mother's suite. I am happy she has this beautiful place with real opportunities to continue to live forward to than to be at my home. We were so guarded that we both slept all the time and I had to tell my entire neighborhood to watch out for my mother wondering.

Mother says she is having fun. She also has friends too. As with all friends, she has fall outs but they make up after few days. She is like 16 years old (mentally) but actually 74. I am confident that no one there goes to work saying they are going to be "nasty, mean, unprofessional" intentionally. I haven't seen that but I had to rewrite my post because the Good News is our community does have a smaller 43 beds Memory Care Only Facility right in the heart ❤ of Georgetown,TX.

My mother has been at Autumn Leaves for sometime now. I started to visit her in June 2024 with my daughter. I went 3 times with my daughter each time. She had to clean up bathroom full of BM. Take trash out. My daughter stopped going I go couple times a week and weekend. Autumn Leaves is a horrible place. I found my mother covered with feces. Plus her bedding, clothes and walls. Autumn leaves is not a certified memory care facility. It's listed as a nursing home. Autumn leaves doesn't have extra annuities. No chief . No farm to table food. No salon, no activities ( they just hired.Library. Movie night. Laundry service is not available right away. I waited 4 weeks. Housekeeping comes every 2 days. Movement exercises. It's all false advertising. Never an administration on duty ( should have 1) 24/7. Residents keys were taken away so they roam the hallways like Zombies. After lunch everyone inTV room aka zombie room. Beautiful courtyard secured no they don't let residents outside. Now the do. I have called the health and human state agency 3 times. I've been there on weekends with only 1 caregiver and medication tech. Never enough staff which residents don't get care need. I had a meeting with VIP of operations from corporate office. We discussed serious issues. I even suggested outside volunteers. Beauty College learning to volunteer services. This will help students learn and residents could have an operating salon. No call button in room. No water available to drink. Residents are on their own. Even if my mother was not a resident. I would advocate for others residents. If no family is visiting they don't know how degrading and disrespectful this facility really is towards their family. I have pictures. Videos and audio. Caregivers are mostly there for the patients. Many don't stay long due to lack of support from management. Autumn Leaves is one the most expensive facility in Georgetown. Money that is not used to take care of your family member. VIP of operations made convenient problems solving issues. I have called her and messaged her no response. I contacted Senator Ted Cruz office about violating at Autumn Leaves Georgetown. I will be contacting local news channels to report false advertisement, one staff for whole facility. No administration is available. Never in office or building. Staff have no support, low wages, overworked, training?, caregivers cook but they have to have a food handler permit which a major violation. Please don't let Autumn Leave tell you about all the wonderful things they offer because they don't. Autumn Leaves is about getting more residents for financial reasons. Your welcome to ask me more questions , pictures and audio. Please visit as many facilities your can and I pray you find one that is honest. You can feel comfortable living your love one there. I worry nonstop about my mom. My situation is different I can't move her out. I have tried many many times to contact corporate in Grapevine Texas. I will make sure Autumn Leaves with have standards, guidelines, residents in mind and heart. Improve caregivers support, training , pay increases and what they job duties are. I was a childcare director for 30 years. Common sense if you don't have good/great staff. You will have a good business. Please be aware that everything I wrote...

The facility is immaculate, providing a clean and serene environment that is conducive to comfort and happiness. The security measures in place are reassuring, ensuring that the vulnerable are protected and any risks are mitigated proactively.The staff is diligent in providing for the residents' needs, ensuring that they are comfortable not just physically, but also emotionally. My family and I find solace in the knowledge that mom is in such good hands.
