Have been here for my hair on numerous occasions and was extremely satisfied with the outcome of my hair. HOWEVER, this last experience, will be my LAST. I came in to get my hair cut, a descent amount of cutoff, which I relayed to the receptionist when I scheduled my appointment. I was scheduled an appointment with YA-YA. When I got to my appointment and showed reference images of what I was looking to get done, which I have done on MANY occasions, my stylist immediately looked overwhelmed and unprepared for what I was asking. She immediately asked if she could show the images to her boss (should have been my first red flag however I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and appreciate her seeking clarification before taking scissors to my hair). When she came back I informed her that I wanted my hair just above my shoulders, still long enough to place into a ponytail. Here is where the issues began. The stylist continued to drop her tools on the floor, continued to go back to her boss to ask questions on what to do with my hair and even had to have her boss come over and FIX my hair for she did not blend or angle my hair at all. To make matters worse, they booked her another appointment 30 minutes after I arrived! What through haircut of a significant amount of cutoff gets done in less than 30 minutes? I noticed her beginning to rush my hair and begin to look at her boss for even more assistance and reassurance. Also, come to find out, she had only graduated in December. The salon closed in March due to COVID19 and had only been open for what she reported was 3 weeks. SO...you're telling me you booked me with a inexperienced stylist to do a significant haircut? Long story short, my hair is right below my ears, cannot be put up AT ALL, the hairs behind my neck might as well should be shaven off and there are NO layers or blending in my hair whatsoever which I not only asked her to do but referenced in my photos. I do not place all the blame on this stylist for she is learning. However, if she did not feel comfortable/confident in her abilities with the cut and felt she needed assistance I would have been understanding to have seen someone else or even come back another day when someone else was available. Also, her boss should have recognized her lack of confidence or the lack of skill set to perform such a cut if she continued to leave me in the chair to ask questions. I must now unfortunately wait WEEKS for my hair to grow back to go to another salon to have what was done FIXED and allow my hair to grow long enough to place up AS...
Read moreI had secured my wedding day hair and makeup with the salon in April 2022 for an Oct 2022 wedding. From the get-go, trying to get information and confirm the date, the response times were delayed. Fast forward to late July where I had to follow up after a week and a half of no response to get answers for some important questions. This type of lag in communication was consistent through the month of August. When I did get replies, it was often after I followed up again. In addition to the poor response time and content, it was expected that the bride pay for full services for all bridemaids one month before any services were performed (almost $2K) The cherry on top was getting an email from the salon one month before the wedding saying they felt there was a bad energy between us and wasn't sure if they were a good fit for my wedding. Although they gave me a choice to move on or stay, why would I ever feel comfortable going to someone who treated a client that way. So here I was, without hair and makeup one month before my wedding. The salon has gotten mainly good reviews; I'm hoping for their sake this poor business conduct was a one-off and they don't normally treat clients this way. My advice to future brides is to be cautious and if something doesn't feel right in your gut when you're communicating with them or anyone else as part of this wedding process, I would take your...
Read moreWhere do I even begin with this team! I work with this group on a regular basis being a wedding planner, but getting to be on the other side and be a bride let me see them in a whole new light! They are so incredible and keep the fun and exciting environment going the morning of the wedding. Every single one of my girls felt so beautiful after receiving services. Getting your hair & makeup done by someone else can be scary as you have a way you are used to it looking, but all they needed was one inspiration photo and they were able to achieve exactly what I was looking for. Meagan is a magician when it comes to makeup, I’m a bronzer and mascara girl so I hardly ever wear makeup. Knowing this Meagan was still able to give me wedding day glam that still made me feel like myself! Sandy can work some serious magic on anyones hair. I told her I wanted a half up and half down and to give me what she thought was best. There is no one I trust more to execute something fun that will last...
