Well I want to start off saying that this has been one of our favorite places to eat at the beach. This just wasn't one of those times. We arrived the night before and tried to get some dinner at 8:02 pm and they said that the kitchen closed at 8 even though their door said 9. Ok I understand, covid has everything a little crazy. Then we come back the following day at 1:45 and spoke with the hostess about getting a table. He took down our number and said he would contact us when our tables ready.  40 minutes latter we started getting the feeling that they weren't going to call. I went back in and he said that he had given our table to another family. I looked down and our name had been marked out. So you weren't planning on calling us? We continue to wait another 20 minutes tell the come out and say they have a table ready for us. We sit down in this back room  which was freezing and had an ac unit right above our table. I turned it of 🙋. We place our order and about that time they bring a family of 6 and a young child in the back. They where extremely loud and even manage to break a glass at their table. About that time the hostess (same guy as the previous night before) comes back and turns on the ac unit blowing directly on us. Not even asking if it was cold or we would like it on. It was not hot at all! The food was ok and the young guy that was our waiter was nicest part. I will be finding other places to eat at the beach to...

This is one of our favorite casual restaurants in the entire Grand Strand (I guess the Coastal marketing people are trying to call it the hammock coast now). Perfect for families! Great beers and cocktails. Really fun atmosphere. The milkshakes are sublime with creative flavors such as milkshakes that contain bacon. The food is fresh, and the servers have smiles. I don’t know what else we could ask for.

We have been going here since they opened. We have a place in Garden City that we have owned about 20 years, and I have been coming to the area since the 60s, and although I love seafood, sometimes it’s great just to have a wonderful sandwich and a pint of beer or a creative cocktail. Plus the milkshakes! Oh my goodness!

My favorite thing on the menu is the hoisin shrimp wrap. Loaded with fresh avocado. The basil mayo balances with the sweetness of the hoisin. Plenty of shrimp. This is almost a perfect wrap. (I’d add a little fig paste and change out the cheese to Brie) but I’m not complaining! When I can’t find out what I want on the cocktail menu, the bartender will mix up a little something for me.

Just a great place. The photos you see have been taken over the past few years, as our family returns again and again...

I went with a recommendation and i was very disappointed. The BLT grilled cheese which should have had Lobster had a very miniscule amount. You couldnt taste it at all. You could barely see it. The bacon was bacon bits and gave a weird texture. There was no tomato at all. I guess they forgot it. The Bernaise aioli was a little sweet and just didnt go with it at all. Even the cheese was barely noticeable but at least held all the bacon bits. The bread was good but seemed toasted in a toaster not grilled. The best thing was the black-eyed pea side. Needed morw seasoning but pretty tasty. This is a great location and fun to walk around and explore the shops and the shady trees. As for the food, i should have tried something with gravy or a burger....

The Myrtle Beach Happy Hour Countdown Favorite Brunch continues this time down in Pawleys Island. At # 5 is BisQit located in the Hammock Shops. This quaint restaurant as the name states specializes in delicious biscuits which you can get with really good brunch dishes or as the bun for the overstuffed burgers and sandwiches. You can get hand spun milkshakes here that can be boozy on request with plenty of great flavors. There are also brunchy cocktails and a really good beer and wine selection. If you want to go a little bit after brunch then you can check out Bisqit’s daily Happy Hour that goes til 6pm. Here you can get craft drafts for $5 and a tasty HH food menu. You can sit in the small bar area or relax in the covered porch dining room. Bisqit is going to be one of your best choices for brunch on the south end. Check back every other day as I reveal the rest of my favorite spots for brunch in the Myrtle Beach Happy Hour Countdown! 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Bisqit 6. We came across this lunch spot after our airboat ride and it sits in a cute shopping area. We were sat in the screened in porch area. We ordered the burger on greens, hagley’s biscuit sandwich and beet burger. The beet burger fell apart all over and was very difficult to eat as was the biscuit sandwich. We saw others food had done the same so you end up eating the sandwiches with a fork and knife. My husband’s burger on greens was okay but nothing special. I wouldn’t say it lived up to previous reviews but maybe it was an off day. I wish there were more vegetarian options on the menu. Outside the restaurant along the walking path was corn hole so we stopped and played a game before getting back on the road.
