I was in town for a wedding from the Midwest and stopped in my first night for a few quick items in the grocery store, and noticed the 6 stool bar with a ton of beers on tap. Came back the next day and this place became my hang out when I escaped from family. People in there treat you like a regular. I ordered a beer, was handed a bag of pretzels and the remote for the TV. Felt like my living room (with the exception of 10 beers on tap of course), people there were very charming...I hated to leave and come back home. Stop in there if you can. And oh, Fredda and Lori's deli inside was awesome...grabbed six breakfast burrito's for our crew's flight back home and they were made fresh...
Read moreFinholm’s is one of the best kept hidden gems of Gig Harbor. Inside this unsuspecting grocery/convenience store is not only a waffle bar, but an actual bar! After a nice stroll along the waterfront or a visit to one of the amazing nearby restaurants, pop into Finholm’s for a drink and sometimes even live music. This is the best of both worlds. You can have a beer or whatever beverage you like from the store, and an endless variety of snacks, while spending time with friends at the intimate tables. Went in a couple days ago to grab just a little snack and drink, and a woman who I assume may have been an employee ran at me and my friend, accused us of stealing, and went through my friends bag. Low and behold- no stolen goods. Instead of leaving us alone, we then got stalked and glared at; all for just existing! Most unwelcoming and scary place....
