My daughter and I just left the Thai Hut. The place smelled strange. Moldy like when my grandma's house was flooded with water. We ordered fried rice, pad Thai and pot stickers. The pot stickers were very dry. The fried rice had a horrible consistency and flavor. My daughter also did not like her pad Thai. We explained to the waitress that we didn't like the food. We had eaten 2 to 3 bites. We were informed by out or waitress that she could only take one meal off because she has eaten it before and it was just fine. She said that it was a family owned business so we have to pay for one and take it home and give it to someone else. We were okay with paying for our drinks and the pot stickers but not the food. My daughter asked to speak to the manager. He came out and reluctantly agreed to us not paying for the unwanted food. Bad experience. We went to the yummy Gourmet Burger shop next door. The waitress was rude about this and she told us that the manager wouldn't be nice to us about it. ???? What kind of restaurant tries to force you to buy unwanted food that you haven't eaten. Read moreI don’t regularly leave Google reviews (or use naughty language) but everyone needs to know: This place is forking amazing. My better half and I split an order of fried spring rolls, crab cream cheese wontons and pad Thai (2 star spicy-ness). The spring rolls? Crunchy, flaky, delicious. The wontons? Incredible. We took the left overs home, but they didn’t make it. I ended up scarfing them down at a long red light while my wife drove me home to my food coma. She carried me to our bedroom and tucked me in while I quietly drifted off to a very delightful dream of myself, eating at Thai Hut again. I know we only ordered 2/4 spicy-ness, but we received 5/5 service and dining!...
Read moreThis was our second time here. On our first visit (2 weeks ago), we were told that they can only take to go orders as they're short staffed. The same story was told earlier when we visited. So we just ordered our food as to go.
As for their food, the Pad Thai is very flavorful but I find it too oily. And their pineapple fried rice lacks flavor. It tasted like stir fried rice with no flavor and the pineapples were just added at the end. I've been to Thailand and it's different to what they serve - the pineapply fried rice is rich in flavor and they even add raisins and curry powder.
I hope they can resolve their staffing issues and improve the taste of their food because I love Thai food so much.
P.S. We also ordered Tom Kha Gai, my favorite, and we'll try...
