I would not even dignify the customer service as poor here - it was MUCH worse, TERRIBLE is not a strong enough word. I walked in there March 30th in the afternoon to return ship my climbing shoes via UPS. I walked up to their shipping center and encountered two employees - one a heavy red haired girl and the other a tall brown haired guy with glasses standing around talking with some girl on the other side of their counter. I stood an placed my box on the counter expecting to be attended to or at least acknowledged to hold on for a minute but neither happened, they both looked at me and returned to their conversation. It was not until a skinny tall brunette girl walked upto them and asked one of them to take care of me that the guy claimed he was training the girl (YEAH RIGHT) and again continued back to their conversation. Only after I repeatedly waved and said "hellooooo" to them did the guy begrudgingly tear himself away from his conversation to reluctantly prepare my box for shipping. It literally took 30 MINUTES to return ship a prepaid package, what a joke! I walked around the floor looking for a manager to figure out why these lazy employees were allowed to slack off and poorly treat their customers, and none were in sight. I utilize office services on a weekly basis and am so thankful for an actual UPS store, I was just unlucky they were not open...
Read moreWe had such a terrible experience at this Office Depot today. An employee named Sarah at the Fed Ex counter just ignored us, literally, as we stood at the counter waiting for assistance. She never acknowledged us standing there & when I asked ‘can you help us’ she just pointed to a FedEx envelope on the counter & said ‘what, there’s an envelope there!’ My husband said “never mind we’ll go somewhere else,” and walked out.
I walked to the front store check stands and asked another employee what was the FedEx counter employees name. This employee looked up at me & ignored my question. The customer she was helping said “she’s asking you a question”. I asked the employee again, “what is the girls name at the FedEx counter?” This employee said “her name is Sarah, & we’re very busy!” I said thank you & walked out. There was not one single other customer at the FedEx counter the whole time we were standing there waiting. The employee Sarah had AirPods in her ear, she looked over at us and never said one word, not even a ‘hello” or “I’ll be with you in moment”. The employee at the check stand never even asked why I was asking for ‘Sarah’s name. Why she would respond “we are very busy” was a strange response. Unless she is use to people complaining/asking for their names. Management should be aware of the TERRIBLE customer...
Read moreI drove 20 minutes to get a pretty simple print job done. Was informed they could not do it. I don’t understand how asking for invitations to be printed is too complex. I used to be able to come in and they would be friendly and nice to make sure my vision matched the outcome. I was straight up told no and no expertise to try and resolve my conflict. I was even willing to pay all the additional fees for helping me in my time of my need. I don’t know who the associate was as they were not wearing their name tag. I’m pretty sure it was the lead though as they had another associate who stated they were new.
I don’t mind not knowing how to do something as the new associate stated. However, to have the “lead” just straight up say no and basically turn away my business leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Now being the only Office Depot on this side of the bridge has left me feeling like there are no other options to take my needs to. This experience was not customer service instead I felt like I had to figure out everything on my own instead of going to the “pros.”
Bottom line is I came in here to do business, and while I was unsure of some things for my print job the goal should have been to help me to keep my business...
