7/3/23 While traveling to Gig Harbor the other day, we found a quick-service restaurant specializing in Pitas. It was a small casual place, order at the counter-establishment. After all, is there anyone that doesn't like a good pita sandwich??? Their menu is short and sweet, with plenty of choices but not overwhelming. I first saw the chicken pesto and figured, without looking, that's what I'm having; then I looked and noticed the quinoa bowls; the hula teriyaki quinoa bowl sounded so enticing, I stuck to my guns and ordered chicken pesto pita, and so did my hubby!
It took about ten minutes to receive our sandwich; we were impressed with its size once he brought it. A nicely wrapped chicken pesto pita sandwich layered with chicken breast grilled in Pesto, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, roasted red peppers, feta, and Greek seasoning. Oh my gosh, the taste was fresh, enticing, and very distinctive. An incredible choice, if I do say so myself! My little qualm definitely wasn't the taste, nor was it the size or cost, but it was a tiny bit dry; perhaps a little more olive oil would have been the solution. However, I was full about 3/4 of the way in, and my hubby was too happy to get just a little more of that delightful sandwich!
The little eatery was clean, and the staff seemed friendly. So if you are in Gig Harbor or just spending the day, you won't regret choosing this place for a quick bite.
Pita Pits location in Gig Harbor is 4784 Borgen Boulevard Suite D, Gig Harbor, WA.
Their location is in a large strip mall area where many other businesses and shops share, such as Crumbl Cookies, MOD Pizza, Qdoba Mexican Restaurant, a mattress company, a nail salon, and so much more.
Not being from the area, there was so much going on there; yes, it was a little confusing navigating the area; I suggest parking and walking around!
Enjoy the area, and have a fun but SAFE 4th of July, and always remember to be kind to ALL...
Read moreI love the food at the pita pit. However I have been to this particular location twice and found it to be less than satisfactory. The first time I went my food had a hair in it... They handled the situation well which is why I returned yesterday while passing through town on my way home from work. I ordered two simple pita wraps and waited until the boy cooking called out by name both of the wraps I ordered. So I picked up my food and drove home. When I opened my food I discovered that only one of the wraps was what I had ordered. Like, different meat, veggies and everything that I didn’t order and don’t like. So I didn’t get to eat my food. I called the restaurant to let them know of the switch and the kid who answered the phone told me that I could come back to the store that night for a full refund (even though they were closed). I told him that I lived across the bridge and couldn’t do that. So he took down my name and phone number and said I could get it the next day. I just went in for my refund and they made me wait 10 mins and did not give me a refund for both wraps. I’m not a petty person but I feel like the manager should have given me the full refund...
Read moreAbsolutely love this Pita Pit!
Every time I come in, the food is fresh, flavorful, and just what I need for a healthy, satisfying meal on the go. The ingredients are top-notch, the portions are generous, and the ability to customize your pita exactly how you want it is a game-changer. Whether I’m grabbing lunch between errands or looking for a quick dinner option, this place never disappoints!
I also want to give a huge shoutout to the lady managing the store—she’s absolutely fantastic! Always on top of things, super friendly, and clearly cares about the customers and the quality of the service. She deserves major credit for how well the store is run.
That said, I’d love to see two people working the line during peak hours. The food is worth the wait, but having two staff on shift would make things faster and even more enjoyable for everyone. There's not a lot of seating inside. The food reminds me of my College Pita put and was my favorite stop for food. The food is excellent! Keep up the amazing work—this Pita Pit is one of the...
