Stop & Shop — Local services in Glastonbury

Stop and shop in Glastonbury… hmm I’m Hispanic and when I went on here for the first time it was full of only white people literally… so like I really don’t care but they did make me feel Comfortable. I kept being watched and stared at also one of the employees set another employee to follow me around the store to make sure I wasn’t stealing which is crazy. Once I was heading to the cashier the cashiers but one of them didn’t wanna attend me so I had to go to other one and there was another old lady and she kept looking at me wrong and getting giving me an attitude um then she asked if I had a Stop & Shop card I said yeah and she was gonna make me put my phone number in and I gave her the Stop & Shop card and she was like oh you use the Stop & Shop card interesting and I basically felt like I was an alien there I don’t expect anyone to like me or you know expect anything from anyone to be nice to me but what I do expect is at least for respect I am just a human being not an alien from another dimension Just hope one day they will realize that Hispanics and other people from other countries they start respecting them because we’re just as human as they are and we all just deserve all the kind of respect even if you...

This Stop and Shop recently rearranged the whole store so that you can't find anything. It is no longer possible to run in real quick and pick up a few items. I already disliked the self check out because I use my own bags and it is a pain with the system they used to replace the former system that is still being used by the Stop and Shop on Oak Street. When we were checking out today the weight system of the bins eventually stopped working forcing us to start over at another machine. Then when I tried to deposit checks at the Peoples ATM, it malfunctioned and I had to go to a teller to complete the transaction. The ONLY good thing I can say about the store is that the person working the customer service desk was extremely pleasant. I will only go back to the store if I need one item in an emergency. Stop and Shop corporate people should realize that shoppers don't like when they rearrange and the horrible weight system in the self check out is a HUGE hassle. I was profiled as I walked out of the store after purchasing was $300 worth of groceries when I tried to produce the receipt through scanning go. I was stopped by a manager. The Wi-Fi stopped working after I had got to the door.
