Glen Ridge Community Pool — Local services in Glen Ridge

I’ve been to this place every year and always had the same experience. The staff are this year particularly better especially the newer staff however the staff that’s been there for a while particularly the older staff I believe one of the managers is not very nice. From what I’ve heard her name is Jodie, every year I come there she is the only manager that seems to have a problem with me or my family. Great pool. People are complaining about the price but if you live close to it it's amazing value. We live within 5m of it so we go all day most days of the week. Super amazing to run down when you're hot, plus a nice deck and waterslide. The management is a bit annoying and patronizing of kids sometimes but it's not hard to ignore. The lifeguards are teenagers and are not too strict and mean. The wifi is pretty slow (5-15mb/s) and only available near the office which is a shame because it's nice to work there in the tent when the kids swim. Overall this is a nice pool. 5/5...

As a United States Navy combat veteran, there haven’t been many places (outside of the Deep South) that I’ve felt unwanted, unwelcomed and excluded from, (VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!) When I saw that it was a community pool I imagined an accurate representation of Americans but this was not the case. $1000 to swim for the season at an outdated pool is clearly the way that they keep people that look like myself away.
