Amai Ice Cream — Restaurant in Bloomfield

We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The cashier was nice and helpful. I wanted a vegan ice cream but the only base they have is coconut so I was a little apprehensive because coconut can be so strong. But I am so glad I still ordered it because it was not strong at all and the flavor was handmade! I had so many questions about the ice cream and the business in general and the lady making the ice cream did not get annoyed and answered every question (come to find out she was the owner). I had the vegan Dulce de leche and my family collectively decided that was our favorite. Their spoons also change color with the temperature which was super cool. The other rolls we ordered was vanilla and mango, bourbon street, and the boozy s’mores flavor which were all AMAZING but the Vegan Dulce de Leche was definitely our favorite. We will definitely...

Delicious ice cream that is well made. Huge menu even if alcoholic ice creams for those 21+. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a huge vegan menu too and everything can be made vegan. Only downside is that it’s a little expensive but it’s almost worth it. Atmosphere is lacking and feels empty. They have some card and other games on shelf but it feels like it’s lacking a comfortable atmosphere. The inside is a screaming teal with accented yellow that throws itself at you. We ordered the Flintstones and another with chocolate, peanut butter, and cookies. I asked for no whip cream on mine but received it anyways.

Upon entering the store, my daughter and I were greeted very nicely. It was so good to know that as soon as you enter, the people working there truly value to your presence and made you want to even purchase more items. Since I have never heard of rolled ice cream, I was very picky of this new product. The store owner Katina really was patient with me as I learned this new style of ice cream and her process being somewhere different than other ice cream stores. She was very gracious and patient with me.
