I tried to call in a pizza order at 8:05p as I was in route to wegmans with an ETA if 8:28p. The pizza department closes at 9p. The customer service department put me through to the pizza department and I was put on hold for 7 minutes. I hung up called right back and was but in hold again by the pizza department for 5 more minutes. I hung up, called again and once transferred was immediately put on hold again. I remained on hold just to see when they would answer. I arrived around 8:30p and walked directly to the pizza counter and noticed two employees. One was wiping down the countertop in preparation to close for the evening, near a phone where lights were blinking. (Me and perhaps others on hold) and the other seemed to be making herself a pizza to take home. No one was in line, no pizzas were in the ovens. When they realized I wanted to place an order, I was met with deep sighs and eye rolls. After I placed the order I was told to go pay for the pizza. I told the employee, that I'd prefer to wait as it seemed that they were not too interested in making any more pizzas that night. She looked disinterested in what I was saying. I informed her that I felt this because I had called several times only to be placed on hold and that I was still currently holding as we spoke. I was not going to leave my pizza unattended. The other employee put the pizza she was preparing to the side and began to put my pizza and toppings together. (This is why I came to the conclusion that the pizza she was preparing when I arrived, was for herself). About 5 minutes after placing my order the employee who was cleaning, went to the phones and picked up the holding calls and just hung up without seeing if anyone was still holding, my line was disconnected. This is bad business. The signage says the close at 9p. If they have a last call/ last order time that should be posted. I still would venture to say 8:05p isn't too late to place an order when...
Read moreI have had 2 bad experiences there with the same supervisor (William). The first time, there was a lady at this store with her child, being escorted out and being threatened with charges being pressed. Her Id was requested (because she told the supervisor that she was gonna put the store on social media). She was not unruly or anything. I was like dang. That doesn't seem right. My next visit, I wanted to return some avocados that were bad when i purchased them (brown spots theoughout). I was told that Wegmans do not take returns on produce. I requested to see the policy (never was shown it...he might of forgot). Anyhow, when Adtabang told me that they don't take returns on produce and William confirmed, I went home but returned because I just could not blv such. I called and spoke to Andreas (a produce Supervisor) and he said he would honor an exchange. When i arrived to the store Christmas Eve (through all the traffic), it was then that William attempted to deny what was promised (because i couldn't remember the produce supervisor's name). I told him the time i had called, to try to identify the Supervisor's name). He told me Wegmans have more than 3 Produce Supervisors on at that time. He insinuated that i expected him to take the prudish back and resale it. I told him that was not expectations. I just expected that accountability be taken that there is a possibility the avocados were bad, and that i was allowed as promised to exchange them. William told me "see, working in customer service, he LOVES talking to ppl, is use to it and has all day." I though to myself, that I better get ready, bc he is about to do the most. I told him "me too." FINALLY, he called produce and Andreas vouched & kept his promise. Thank you Andreas. This post...
Read moreI love wegmans. This wegmans was my first experience with the super marker since it opened and i think very highly of it. I do wish they carried some of the items columbia does..like pre-made sandwiches, but i understand it isnt as big as that one, so not as many options in general. Unfortunately, I think some of the staff need better customer service skills. I had around 20 items in my cart was directed by a worker to go to the 15 items or less lane. I was reluctant, but he shuffled me down twice into this older woman's lane. She asked the man in front of me if he wanted bags and he said yes. By the time she got to me she didn't ask, she just brought out the bags. I said its alright..im good..no bags. She shrugged with an attitude and said "it doesn't matter anyway". Um. Okay. So she started putting my stuff in the cart. I reach my hand out to grab an item she had to help. She bypassed my hand and put it in like she was annoyed with me. I understand I'm in your 15 an under lane, but I was directed to be there. It just made me feel uncomfortable. I understand dealing with the general public and things not going exactly the way you want. I work in healthcare...I KNOW, but it's no excuse to be passive aggressive with me. This happened today 10/16/23 @1158am at register 20 I believe OP#360892. It's the first one next to the self checkout. I've seen this woman there before and I will actively avoid her lines from now on. I see someone else dealt with this same issue in a previous...
