My experience started with a 20 minute wait inspite of there being many (more than six) tables in my immediate peripheral that were available. Once a waiter escorted us to our seat, I noticed even more tables available. The service was was quick and our waiter was courteous. When my meal came to the table, I was a little put off because my salmon was OVER dressed with some type of sauce. It was just way too much of it. Instead of complaining, I scraped it off and attempted to enjoy the meal. I ordered the grilled salmon. It was supposed to come with spinach and mashed potatoes but unfortunately the restaurant was out of spinach. I substituted brussel sprouts instead. That was a mistake. The brussel sprouts were charred but not crispy. I've never eaten brussel sprouts that were so fibrous in my life. It was really odd and off-putting. I only ate a few of them before I gave up. The meal also came with mashed potatoes and they were delicious. They were literally the best thing on my plate . Halfway through my sauce-scraped-salmon I discovered what believe to be a bug. I think it was either underneath the salmon or mixed into the sauce that was on top of the salmon. I became instantly disgusted. I showed it to the waiter and he stated that he would bring me something different. I thanked him for the offer but refused anything else from the kitchen and asked that he advise his manager as to what occurred. He took the plate, bug and all to show his manager. After about ten minutes, the manager comes to my table and proceeds to try and convince me that there was no bug in my food and that this was probably just charred fibrous parts of the brussel sprouts. I explained to her the bug was not found in the spouts but rather on the salmon. She then told me it was just charring from the salmon but you be the judge. (See photo below) All I know is that I will never eat at this establishment again. I did not appreciate the manager insisting that this was not a bug when I could clearly see that it was. She did offered to comp my meal to which I rebutted and asked her do comp the entire order as I was out on the date. We were less than halfway done with our meals when the bug was discovered and uninterested in finishing either meal. That should have been the...
Read moreI usually love the experience at Copper Canyon however the Woodmore Town Center location has created my first negative experience. I came to this establishment with my friend and was made to wait regardless of tables being available. My friend is recovering from a heart attack and she went to the host to check on the wait. The young man had an attitude of it being 15 minutes and the time limit had been met. He kept shaking his head and emphasizing this 15 minutes as it to dismiss her. I got up to ask if we could be seated at one of several tables that were empty. I was looking at it for the entire 15 min wait. It was cleaned and left open during that time. He had the same attitude with me about the empty table because the 15 minute period had been passed. I asked to speak to the manager and Stephen Cunningham came to speak with me. He introduced himself but never asked the issue. I introduced myself also and started telling him the situation at which point he began making excuses for the table. The patrons that arrived after us were now being seated and he decided they must have had reservations. I asked Stephen if he was aware of these reservations since there were multiple open tables and the other patrons were also waiting after we arrived. He said he does not know of all the reservations. This leads me to wonder why did Stephen dismissed my complaint. I asked my friend to explain her interaction and there was no customer service from the General Manager - Stephen or the host we initially interacted with. I can see why the host had no customer service because the Manager also lacked customer. It sad that I seldom complain at restaurants yet here I am being treated in a way that the Montgomery County Copper Canyon restaurants would never treat a patron. The quality of service should not be reduced due to the area for a chain restaurant such as this. I will also note that the cleaning of the tables were subpar as I watched several of them be wiped off and pieces of debris were left on the table and others were thrown on the floor. I would like to reiterate my displeasure with the attitudes of the General Manager and host as they both failed to maintain the standing of the Copper Canyon establishment. I’ve had better interactions from a fast...
Read moreWent here for date nite. Ordered some wine (forgot the name), espresso martini, Peartini, egg rolls, Sandford burger w/ bacon, and chicken parm w/ collard greens & linguini.
The peartini tasted like a dietetic mocktail. Super sweet, couldn’t taste the liquor at all. Espresso tasted sour like it wasn’t fresh, pew.
Egg rolls was mid. The waiter we had (was cool by the way), said they had chicken in them. Couldn’t taste the chicken, I don’t know what was up with that but nevertheless subpar appetizer
The burger was actually pretty good minus getting a half of pound of fries on the plate and the kitchen used pre cooked bacon on the burger. Wasn’t feeling that at all but again good burger.
Whew! Now the chicken parm… WORST MEAL EVER! I’ve had school lunch & jail food that tasted better than that debauchery. The linguini was very WATERY. You guys gave us canned tomatoes heated up with noodles that was not al dente. TRASH! Chicken parm reminded me of throw up after drinking cheap tequila. Which I was deceived by because it actually “looked” good.
Then had the nerve to serve it on the same plate as the the collard greens. Now for presentation she would’ve preferred the chicken on the same plate with the pasta but since the pasta was trash I’m happy y’all served it with the greens which was mid by the way too. Must’ve had Ms. Johnson from first baptist cook those from the night before… flavor was lost and we were sad.
Waiter took the death parm meal & Peartini off the tab. They then tried to redeem themselves with a free entree meal so we decided the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and broccolini. It came with some type of pineapple jelly sauce and let me say right now that was DEPLORABLE! I don’t know who’s idea that was but they need to be fired IMMEDIATELY. Pineapple chunks tasted sour and it didn’t go well with the meal at all! Meatloaf was god awful combination of beef & pork. Looked 2 toned. Disgusting, wouldn’t recommend. Now the mash potatoes was the best thing I’ve had from there. Real potatoes with the water, cream, seasonings. Think I tasted some green onions or chives. Solid work. 4 outta of 10 on the whole experience tho. Looking at these other reviews I gotta comeback...
