I purchased a pair of boots that began to hurt after 15 minutes of wearing them. I kept them on to see if they would give a little but they were unbearable. The boots are still in good condition and the tag was the only thing scratched. I have never had a problem returning anything at Norstrum Rack before until today. On Wednesday 1/17/24, at about 3:45-4:00pm, the store manager refused to take my return. The so called manager was rude and short patient. She said my boots were heavily worn which is a lie because I did not wear them long. When I showed her the boots and told her that they were not heavenly worn, she jumped to another reason saying that the boots were scuffed up and had residue on them. She was all over the place because it appeared that she was not in a customer service mood and did not want to refund them. Her excuse was a petty excuse and inconsistent. She had just blurted out that the previous customer was rude. How unprofessional!!!! When I asked for her district manager’s name, she told me to Google it. I feel her lack of management for the job trickledown to my situation, a simple return of boots. That was my last purchased a that particular store. I’ve seen this store customer service turn around for the good. I am a regular shopper and the employee are friendly and pleasant! I wanted to give a shout out to James Mann the store manager. He really turn this store around with his professional customer service I would say “ Old School “ customer service. I was disappointed when he left the store for away but also very happy for him. The store was clean, and not difficult to move around. Recently, James Mann return back to Nordstrom and so happy he did because the store was going down. He has a high standards of customer always willing to help out and just carry a nice conversation. Also, I wanted to acknowledge Ron Akihs which is a manager as well. A few weeks ago I had a return and as I was waiting in line i immediately notice a new face his amazing customer service skills, very pleasant and knowledgeable and was willing to resolve a customer issue.
