Final update (+1 star, 4/5) 2024-10-26.
When outrunning a bear, you just have to be faster than your companions ;-)
This Aldi is better than all the nearby grocery stores (decent prices, staffing, and good selection of fresh fruit and vegs).
It has gradually become my go-to for most things grocery.
My advice: Avoid the busy times, and walk up to Metromarket for the items they don't carry. (The short walk will do you good!)

Probably final update to my review (-1 stars, still ok):
So noon on Sunday (01/21/24) it's packed with two registers open and long lines (see pictures). I mentioned this to the manager on duty (Stephanie?) and she thanked me and ignored me.
Usually when lines get this bad they open a new register---unfortunately it depends on the particular manager on duty.
So avoid at busy times, otherwise this Aldi is the best of a bad (short staffed) bunch. As always, your money or your time; you decide.
UPDATE: They have gotten better at opening new registers, when needed; still lean on staff; checkout is fast when you get to the register. Still best to pick a less busy time.
Aldi runs lean on staff; this location has poor register management. With the possible exception of peak times, management does not monitor the length of lines leading to a (usually a single) register. I usually pick off peak times to shop, and often the line leading to a single register is insane (making it hard to distance.) Sometimes I'll bail, and sometimes I'll get a manager to open a register---it should not require customers to complain. As they say, your money or your...

Came in today for 7 items so I did not grab a cart.
Only one register was open a lady with a full loaded cart was ahead of me as she is unloading at the very front by the cashier, I am setting my stuff on the back metal plate and just trying to put it down so I can organize it and not drop it while I wait for this lady's long order to go through when the redheaded woman sitting on her pedestal barks at me not to put my stuff on the belt until the lady in front of me is done. Clearly she thought I was from another planet and didn't know how grocery stores work or that maybe my eyes weren't working and I didn't see the full cart in front of me when you could clearly see, I was holding this stuff back from going on a journey down the belt. In no way was my stuff even remotely, close to this lady's stuff and the customer actually looked at me, kind of like, what the heck was that about and later put her plastic separation thing down and gave me a smile. I got more from the lady in front of me than I did from the woman behind the register, who proceeded to chomp her gum didn't say hi, or ask how my day was all she did was tell me my total. Absolutely zero customer service skills beyond scolding me and giving me...
Read moreThis is our home Aldi and primary place to grocery shop. I am really reaching out to review because of an exceptional experience we had with the whole employee team the other day. My 5-year-old, always a willing and enthusiastic helper, dropped a pickle jar next to the checkout trying to put it on the checkout belt and it shattered everywhere. The employees immediately told her not to worry and it happens all the time and that they could fix it easily. She went from looking ready to cry to breathing a sigh of relief and felt confident that she could keep helping due to their kindness. They worked quickly to get it all cleaned up and smiled at her and me all the way through. I apologized and thanked them many times, but I really can't fully express how grateful I was that they showed my girl so much kindness and kept her self-efficacy strong in that moment. It meant so much to us in a moment that could have felt humilating to have created a huge inconvenience to them. 5/5 for these amazing employees and their kindness. I wish I had thought to ask them their names to shout...
