Stone Creek Coffee - Glendale — Restaurant in Glendale

I was at this location on 03/25/14 to do some work and enjoy my afternoon drinking coffee, and this woman working at the time was very rude. This was a very disappointing customer service experience that had an effect on my day. This woman has about shoulder lenght dark hair, wears dark frames, and has a couple visible tattoos. I walked up to the bar (not directly in front of the register) and she quickly asks in a incredibly rude tone, "do you know what you want already? with a roll of the eyes. She never said hello, I responded with a hello to her frigid question. As a person who frequents coffee shops on a weekly basis, I have never been rushed as I was this day. The time spent looking at the menu was not excessive, I was simply trying to decide if I wanted a mocha or a mug of coffee. I ordered my coffee with my croissant and sat at a table to continue with my day that had been tainted with her so unoriginal hipster attitude and basic look that was so dated and probably purchased at Kmart. I listened to her complain about every single job task that she had to do, it seemed as if she had never worked a single day of her life. As i removed my headphones during a break for water I overheard her greet a couple of other customers with a hello that was nowhere in sight when I walked in. I began to think if she had deep rooted bigotry in her soul that spurt out when she laid eyes on the only person in the establishment who was obviously a person of color. I thought to myself, "Bye Felicia" as I made my way towards the door and winked at her. I hope she was utterly confused. In the near future I might think of returning to this location if needed, I will gladly say...

I like their coffee and food. Staff is always friendly. There's a barista that draws cute flower designs on the tops of hot drinks. It's a nice place.

That being said I fear for the longevity of this location. Their hours are strange. What coffee house isn't open till 9pm here in the city? Website and social presence is outdated. It feels like they don't have enough momentum like other brands (Fiddleheads, Collectivo, Starbucks). I own my own business and understand perception is huge. Even if you're in a slump act like you're not. I don't know this locations Financials but I wish they would produce more momentum. It would be...

I met with my sister there in this afternoon for coffee, my chair and table combo was comfortable, the place was not totally packed with people but enough to make it lively, music was at a decent level, except for when they blended something, the combination of noise temporarily turns the place into a construction site, but it didn't last long enough to irritate me.
