If I could give no stars I would. I was looking very forward to a salsitas opening in Scottsdale near my job. I came through the drive thru and the girls were talking to an older gentleman laughing and flirting, but there was no customers at the restaurant and for 4 tacos and a mulita, I waited forever. They then gave me the order and only gave me 2 salsas and when I asked for a few more the girl just stared at me until she grabbed more salsa. I then got all the way back to work and realized the order was wrong. I got asada instead of lengua and that’s what I was looking forward to the most. Then the tripas… I’ve never in my life ate a taco and not know what I was eating, it was a taco of greasy mush that tasted sooooo old. The tortillas on the tacos were extremely hard, I’ve ordered tacos through door dash and not once were my tacos as old and that far away from fresh. I’ve had better food at the bertos and that’s saying a lot! Save your money and pick another restaurant...

My wife is a sucker for Lengua (Beef Tongue) and I've never met a Cabeza (Beef Cheek) I didn't like. We each had a burrito of our longed for portion of steer and we were not disappointed. The burritos were well stuffed - as were we when we waddled out. The chips were tasty, as was the one salsa we tried from their "fixins" bar. That said, the grilled onion and jalapeno almost stole the show. When grilled, Jalapenos show off their complexity without losing it's essential heat. The onion was simply perfection - sweet and succulent, without falling apart. All this and a Fanta too. Not the corn syrup sweetened junk but the real cane sugar stuff from my childhood. Sweet without being cloying. Lastly, though there's barely been time for the paint to dry, Salsitas was beautifully designed and of course, spotlessly clean. This is a place worth visiting again...
