This place has genuinely been a God send! I live down the street and my dog Halle has been 5 times in the past 2 weeks. One of my biggest needs for a daycare besides the basics of cleanliness, friendly staff and outdoor space, my need is stimulation. My dog is a high energy pup and I love how they have they have options to have either a sniffle mat, popsicle and more for my dog’s visit. When I work from home, I have some of these stimulation options to keep her busy. Other positive is their hours! There are days that I need to be on the road by 7:30 to attempt to get ahead of traffic so the option to drop off and pick up outside of 9-5 has been so helpful. Other great option: they feed dogs respective to the schedule and food my pup is used to. I bring my food for her and the one time I didn’t, they supplemented and it was a small fee. Scheduling day care and bathing appointments have been seamless. Have not needed to board her yet but definitely coming in the near future. I used to think that I’d want cameras to see if my dog is playing. But, they send daily photos and she is doing something different every day. Only thing I would change if there was anything would be to open the hours by half an hour each way so healthcare workers could drop off their pups around their work schedule. (I used to be an inpatient nurse needing to drop my dog at daycare at 6:30 and picked up as late as 8PM and so I had to make other accommodations) I’ve been raving about this place to everyone in the area! We had an incredible experience with Ruff Resort for both daycare and boarding! From the moment we arrived, their professionalism and deep understanding of dog behavior stood out. The staff is not only knowledgeable and friendly but clearly passionate about what they do—and it shows in how they care for every dog.

The facility is impressively clean, thoughtfully designed, and full of enriching activities that keep the dogs happy and stimulated. I loved that they offer both private suites and cozy communal bedding options, depending on your dog’s preferences. The quarters are incredibly comfortable and felt like a home away from home.

One of the things that really impressed us was the complimentary two-hour evaluation. They took the time to fairly assess our dog’s behavior after she had time to settle in and interact naturally with the other dogs. It was a thoughtful and thorough approach that gave us so much confidence in leaving her there.

We also appreciated the picture updates and the secure, gated, and closely monitored environment they maintain. Our dog came home relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for.

I am very upset with my recent experience at Ruff Resort. Both of my dogs came home with kennel cough and are now very sick. We have boarded them at other facilities before and have never had an issue like this. Clearly, something went wrong with their sanitation or health protocols.

What made it worse was the dismissive attitude of the owner when I called. Instead of showing concern or offering any kind of apology or resolution, I was basically told that “these things happen.” That kind of response is unacceptable. Even a small discount or some gesture of goodwill could have made me consider giving them a second chance. But after that conversation, I will never return, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to any...
