This morning I came in for a return. It was a Milwaukee brand return. While I waited in line, there were three employees all at registers. Zero of them were eager to help anybody in line. I was eventually helped by Trish. Who had such an awful attitude. My return was a Milwaukee return. I was told previously by someone in the returns that they usually go through the manufacturer, but if it were purchased with a Home Depot card that my return could be done there in store. So I came in with my Milwaukee item and my receipt. I was told there’s a Milwaukee guy I need to go see him and just was pointed towards the opposite side of the store and given zero direction. So as I walked aimlessly around the store, I eventually went to the cashier at the front of the store. There was an older gentleman in a black apron who was very helpful. He asked one of the other girls to cover him so he can help walk me to go and look for him. We were unable to locate him. I said it was totally fine. I went up to the front to pay for the items that I was then purchasing. they asked if I was able to locate him and if I was helped. I said no, but it was fine. I was already frustrated and just ready to leave the store. I was approached by Maureen and the older gentleman in the black apron. Who are both very, very helpful by the way. she also provided me with a phone number that I can contact Milwaukee to get help. Had Maureen and the other gentleman not been helpful I would’ve given the store one star. I understand finding employees these days can be a bit difficult. But having no employee is better than having A...
Read moreHome Depot ruined Christmas! I ordered a tool bench weeks in advance online, hoping to see my husband happily tinkering away, only to receive a lovely email on December 23rd saying, “We’re sorry your delivery could not be completed.”
After numerous calls to customer service, I was bounced around like a holiday ornament. The associate informed me my tool bench was damaged, yet they still tried to sell me that same damaged merchandise. Brilliant! Then they assured me they’d find a store with an intact bench. Spoiler alert: they didn’t!!!
By 6 PM, I was on the phone again, explaining my saga to every representative who would listen. First, Covina sent me to Glendora, who claimed they only had one damaged bench. But wait—Covina had eight with “minor damage.” Amazing how “minor” damage suddenly sounded like a great option!
After being told to cancel my order and buy a new one, which would mean waiting eight days for a refund, I threw in the towel. On Christmas Eve, I tried again, but when I asked to speak to the store manager Jeff said he was out sick. Without saying anything he passed the phone to a person named Lynn. Fantastic! Lynn suggested I just cancel my order—so I did, and guess what? Still waiting for that confirmation email.
So, thank you, Home Depot, for ruining Christmas with your stellar customer service! Truly a...
Read moreWe had been shopping with Home Depot weekly in Glendora for over 7 years from 2013 to 2020. We spent a lot of money here on appliances, carpets, pool supplies and chemicals. On Sept 1st 2019 we had to return a fan purchased the day before on a new applied HD credit card and it was almost free. I told the service rep that we wanted another fan that did not require assembling which was different brand and costed one more dollar. The rep said replacement had to be exactly the same price. Then I asked her if the store could have someone assemble the original fan for me because I could not assemble it. She said she was not sure if they have someone in the store that could assemble it for me and plus, she would have to ask the store manager if I could have the original fan again since I already returned it. I was dumbfounded and speechless to hear her answer. This is absolutely the worst customer service that I had ever encountered in decades. This review was first posed in consumeraffair in Sept 2019. At the end of May 2022, we purchased a water heater from this Home Depot. An associate recommended a wrong part to our handyman which was very unprofessional. My handyman had to make another round to the store to get the correct one after he found out it was...
