This place gave me the best service I ever thought I'd have. They're setting the standard in service and quality here now that the service is what's outshining your past restaurant experiences, apart from the delicious food that's FRESH.
Our server made sure we set on everything checking back on how the food was, asking if we wanted refills on drink or bread sticks, we even didn't expect 2 free pastas packed and ready to go! Apparently our order for lunch still qualified for the Buy 1 Get 1 special, if she didn't go the extra mile for us we wouldn't have even known, they could have easily saved themselves some pasta dinners if we didn't ask for it.
The manager came by to check on us as well making sure we were satisfied and happy which is something not a lot of restaurants do nowadays.
The food was phenomenal, we ordered the classics, lasagna and chicken parmegiana with a side salad and a chicken and gnocchi soup that was surprisingly delicious. I've gone before and had shrimp, steak, and my personal favorite the Lasagna Fritta but for a simple lunch with less than $40 in hand it was absolutely PERFECT besides the excellent service.
My ONLY gripe was another staff member, an older gentleman that was greeting people at the front desk, he was about to seat us on a cramped space next to a full seated family WITH kids, even though it was just me and my mom. I asked if we could be seated somewhere else as I didn't want to be shoulder to shoulder with a toddler that's not even mine and for some reason the server or manager gentleman that was gonna seat us there was looking upset at us and my request to be seated elsewhere. I'm guessing he's a supervisor or a shift manager, he made it a big deal about waiting longer for proper seating and something about not enough servers and blah blah blah, it shouldn't be that much to ask for a dignified seating arrangement to enjoy a meal. Especially since I was taking my mom to celebrate her recent hospital stay.
That was very distasteful at first but luckily our server and the manager and the waitress who brought our meals were a knock out of the park. We waited less than 5 mins and another server found an excellent booth for us and we were seated and had our meal in about 15 minutes.
Thank you for reading if you got this far, if you can appreciate classic dishes with excellent service where they treat you like you matter, this restaurant is the one you...
Read moreI love Olivie Garden especially the one where I live in Temecula. It's always clean and the atmosphere is great because it's so family oriented. I was very dissapointed with this location though. First their bathrooms were gross. My 8 yr old went in to use the restrooms and in every stall there was pee on the toilet seat where someone failed to aim in the bowl ( im not sure how because it was the womens restroom) or there was poop in another. There was toilet paper on the floor, it was just gross. I brought it to the managers attention after my daughter refused to use the bathroom because it waz dirty. Our waiters were very polite, we had two because we were a party of 9. They took our drink orders and everyone got theirs but me. Which wasn't a problem I reminded the waiter and he apologized and said it would be right out. After that he took our food order. My drink still hadn't arrived and again I had to remind the waiter. My husband and uncle ordered a piadini and in the picture it showed that it had spinach in it (which is the reason my uncle ordered it) but when it came it didn't have any inside. So my uncle politely asked the waiter if this is suppose to have spinach and the waiter said I think so but let me confirm with the kitchen. So when he returned he confirmed it did so he said we will make you another one. How do the cooks miss that ingredient I don't know but it happened. Half way through dinner I reminded the waiter again of my drink and he finally rushes it over. So now it's time to box things up and my daughter (8yrs old) tells the waiter if she can have the soup to go and he hands her a box while he is boxing all of our stuff so she can pour hot soup into the To go box herself. Of course I jumped up and poured did it myself after I found her spooning the soup in the container. Why would he give a child a container to box her own hot soup is beyond me. I'm so dissapointed in this Olive Garden. I do not recommend this olive Garden...
Read moreWe were a group of six and though we ALL only ordered the Endless Soup & Salad combo, we were a pretty high-maintenance bunch. We all asked for separate checks. Half of us asked for more water. Two-thirds of us asked for 2nd & 3rd bowls of soup. A huge SHOUT-OUT to our stunning waitress, Nicole, who handled all this (AND keeping our giant salad bowls and bread baskets full) with grace and kindness! She was The BEST! She also kept piling on the cheese (which we asked for) until both our salads & our soups looked like Mt. Baldy after this first Big Chill!
Nicole had first greeted us with a genuine smile and offered each of us to sample their red wine. We were delighted to "sample" with no pressure to buy. That sample tied me over throughout the entire meal! THANKS, Nicole! :)
I can't speak for the pasta as none of us tried any, but that All-You-Can-Eat Soup & Salad combo for Dinner at $9.99 is fantastic! I tried both the creamy sausage/potato/spinach soup & the red (marinara-like) spice sausage one and they were both GREAT! One person in our party found the red one too spicy for her taste, but the rest of us loved it! It did have small macaroni in it, if you're craving some pasta. The endless breadsticks were always piping hot, crunchy on the outside, and chewy-delish on the inside.
We were lucky enough to get to sit by the fireplace on a cold night, so it was all quite lovely. Sure, it's a "chain," but very comforting...
