So I really used enjoy shopping at this place up until a week ago. My gf and I were looking for a top loader binder to start her collection. We asked the girl working if these binders held top loaders. She replied “I don’t know” and went back to her phone. We stood there and looked up the binder on my phone and it said it stored soft sleeves and deck guards. Silly me assumed deck guards and top loaders were the same thing. So we ended up buying the binder and it did not store top loaders. I went back yesterday to see if I could return/exchange it. It was neatly packaged and unused. The same girl that sold it to us was there and she told me that “the boss was there that day and it literally says on the back it doesn’t” and I flip it over and it does not say that. So if she knew it didn’t hold them why did she say she didn’t know a week ago? If the boss was there that day, why not ask them? Either she doesn’t care about helping customers or she doesn’t know about the store’s product. Everyone else there has been very nice and helpful. Only other thing they should work on is the cleanliness. Spray something or light a candle to combat the musky odor. And watch the owner reply to this with every excuse in the world, instead of just taking accountability for their employee’s...
Read moreMy husband and I wanted to play some magic tonight. We called and inquired and heard they were doing a B2-3 so we drove on over. When we got there the welcome was meh, not good or bad. I decided to try and sell some of my foils and duplicates, it was at least 30 cards with at least 10 foils. She only offered 8 cent for them all.
After this she then gave my tattoo a backhanded comment asking “Did the artist mean to do that,” and “Did you want it that way?” Who does something like that?
While I was doing this my husband was looking at their product, which is extremely over priced, 125 dollars for the FF commander sets is insane especially when the shop across the street sells them for their actual price.
The attendant in the other side of their shop yelled out from the back room to talk to another customer about the commander event and stated “I think that’s the weird guy who called me earlier.” Which just happened to by my husband who was looking over his deck just outside and heard her say that.
Safe to say we will not be back, the prices are extremely overpriced, and the staff were rude to new customers they never met for no...
Read moreI had an absolutely terrible experience at TA Games and will never be returning. I went in to buy some trading card boxes, specifically 4 ETBs, for myself and a few friends. I followed all their rules and made sure to be respectful. On release day, I paid $120 per box, even though other stores were selling them for just $55. I wasn't trying to resell, just wanted to enjoy the product, but apparently that wasn’t enough.
The worst part of the experience was dealing with the woman in the black skirt. She was incredibly rude, with the worst attitude imaginable. I tried to approach her nicely to buy a single pack after opening our boxes, but she refused to sell me anything and even threatened to kick me out. I’ve never been treated so poorly in a store. It felt like I was being unfairly labeled a scalper simply for paying a fair price on release day, when in fact, I was just a customer trying to enjoy the hobby.
I won't be back to TA Games, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you want to be treated with respect and not be accused of things you’re not doing, I suggest you take your...
