Originally gave this place a 1 star bc they didn't have anything that wasn't Magic, Yugi, Heroclix or a few other CCGs. I don't remember who I interacted with my first few visits, but I remember not feeling too welcomed. That's not what I want from a local game store, but that doesnt warrant a 1 star.
I came back and gave it 4 because my last visit was very nice, I assume it was the owner, his wife and their 2 kids that were in the store based off their interactions. The store was empty shortly after I arrived and the guy working was very friendly and down to chat about completely pointless game talk and let me flash back to days when I played all the games out all the time. The woman was cleaning but also holding her own conversation with me the best she could while cleaning and watching 2 kids. She was doing great!
The store may not have a ton, but it has to stock what sells and what sells is the same old, same old lol. It seems to be a nice family owned store that host games and sells the most popular ones that have tournaments.
Worth a visit for any card needs or heroclix needs. If you're looking for a huge library of table top games to buy this isn't your store.
Lots of space and I bet they would love to host any games people would need space to play (D&D, Marvel Crisis, Catan,...
Read moreWe like this place for many reasons, one being that it feels like a local spot rather than one of those box stores where employees are forced to act like you're their best friend regardless of a customer's attitude. Someone said it feels like a friend's gaming basement and I agree.
We first started coming here for Pokemon cards; our childhood collections are long gone, and the pandemic made us want to start over. Now, we're learning MTG... Yeah, we're 30 years late, I get it. But coming here for questions and suggestions makes more sense than box stores where the employees don't, and shouldn't have to, know all the details and complexities of the game. Every time we go, there's folks gaming at the tables and the dude behind the counter will be honest with you about your purchase considerations. I.e. if you're new to a game and don't know what you're doing, he'll guide you.
I'll take that customer service over forced, over-hyped...
Read moreMy friends and I went to get some DnD items but we didnt look at the opening time. They let us in anyway to buy our stuff. 2024 update I've frequented this store more in the last 2 years and it's been a wonderful experience. I've play in their commander nights and in the drafts and pre-release and it's been nothing but great. The staff is as helpful as they can be with how busy they can get. I was able to make long lasting friends here and it's almost a second home only wish I lived closer. All in all this shop will always do its best to help everyone with their needs and are well informed on tcgs will always...
