Expensive, soggy food. My veggie burrito was all mushy beans and rice, and they did not even take care to clean the grill before grilling the two veggies they put in my burrito. There was meat mixed in. The pico de gallon was mostly onions. The cubana torta super soggy. And we paid almost 50 dollars for that plus another soggy chileno relleno burrito. I would just not recommend it at all.

I had good things about this and the positive reviews are right. I had an asada burrito and was pleasantly impressed. The beans are ground finely and excellently prepared. The asada is cut and flavored deliciously. Very reasonably priced comparatively to other Mexican restaurants in Santa Barbara. Definitely A MUST for Mexican food foodies!

Wanted to give a local place a chance so I ordered a chile relleno burrito, w/ added sour cream + guacamole. I was charged $5.50 for the guacamole alone (wow), and an additional $1.50 for sour cream. Very pricey for what I received :(

This week like every thursday my husband went to el sitio, at the time he was ordering a burrito the cashier told him they dont have beans for it(everyone knows burrito came with rice & beans) so he told her if maybe they can remplace the beans for something else, maybe put little bit more of meat, a free soda or a discount, she said NO!!! He explained her how come he has to pay a full price for something its not complete!! The guy cooking came to front and said they NOT allow to do that saying the OWNER doesn't like it, if we dont like itit just dont buy it, itvwas rude. We have been customers for the last 20years. But for suee we WONT COME BACK TO ANY "EL SITIO". Thats not the way to treat...

I have eaten at this place for years not too often because it tends to be way overpriced but the food is good. The service ..ehh not the greatest. You can buy a burrito for $7 but if you add cheese that another $1.50 and if you want sour cream thats another .95 so it ends up being aroudn $10 for a burrito. Today i splurged for the overpriced $12 nachos and they didnt even come with cheese...no cheese at all so I call them and they are no help ..prertty much tough luck and i said fine I will leave a review and the lady was just like "ok". think I might be over this place...food is good but way overpriced and service is usually pretty bad for that high...

Even though El Sitio is known more for their tacos than burritos, I highly recommend their burritos. Griddled post-wrapping is such a great move that is too infrequently done (especially at places that skew more towards the bloated sf mission burrito style). These burritos at El Sitio are lean, mean, and with great beans. This also happens to be the place that got my burrito connoisseur 11-year old to appreciate tacos. he had a carnitas, a chicken, and a carne asada and liked all three. Their rajas tacos are decent but the cheese is...
