I went here to find a replacement set of twin platform bed frames after having a rental guest damage a set we had recently bought. I needed something that was in stock and could be delivered and installed quickly because I had guest checking in at my rental. I found a set I liked that was actually wood. The salesperson said it was in stock. I told him that I already had the foam mattresses I would be using with the frames. Before I purchased the frames I asked the salesperson if there was anything else I needed to add to the frame for it to function as a bed and he said no and that everything you needed came with the bed. Was directed to go behind the business to pick it up and rang the bell. I then waited for about 30 minutes when an employee finally showed up to tell me that they actually didn't have the frame and it would have to be ordered and take two weeks to arrive.
Since I would now be waiting two weeks I had to run out and buy another cheap frame just so my guests would have enough beds to sleep on.
I waited and they were then able to delivery the beds and install them. I went to place the mattresses on the frames and then realized that these frames require a box spring. I called Kimbrells and was informed that I would now have to pay another 450 dollars for two box springs and they wouldn't deliver them or take payment over the phone. I had to haul myself out to the store to stuff them in my car through traffic.
It is so strange because the manager was one of the people who showed up to set up the furniture but he never mentioned anything about needed a box spring and they took down the other platform bed i was replacing. I clearly didnt have the box springs myself so I'm not sure what he was thinking I was goign to do with the frames but he had to know that I didn't have what I needed.
I would have bought a platform frame somewhere else if I had been informed that they didn't have the frames in stock and also that these were not platform beds. Instead, I got to pay 550 dollars more than I wanted to spend including the extra frame I had to buy and also spent gas and time driving to the store after I payed to have the frames delivered and set up. Not a great experience and I would...
Read moreRecently bought a new dinning set for the holiday season to host friends and family. The Customer service wasn’t excellent, but fair. I knew I was buying so the salesman didn’t have to sell me, but I went along with the flow of the sales process anyhow, which was a bit detached & somewhat aloof on the salesman’s end. Anyway, I needed the delivery option, 2 days later the delivery guys came with my set on time. The 6 chairs were already assembled and the table was the only thing left to be assembled. They forgot the screws for the actual table, left came back and put the table together. I was so excited! However, after the guys left, after rearranging, admiring, and breaking my chairs in, I noticed a sharp & painful feeling around my outer bum, I find out that the already assembled chairs (6) had the inappropriate screws in them and was protruding up through the seating area on all 4 sides of the seat and on all 6 chairs. I called and let them know, I was assured from a woman that Joe would reach out to me to correct the issue the following day after getting all of my contact info and relaying him my message. No one reached out the next day. I waited, nothing. I went down and expressed my issue in person to Joe on a Saturday, he expressed that on the following Monday he’d reach out to me before completing the service call for my chairs.. haven’t heard anything by Monday afternoon , I called and he stated that he had to “order” screws for my chair and that it would be there on the following Wednesday & that the service call would be completed on Wednesday. Today’s Wednesday, a guy came to my home to fix the issue but he literally had the same exact screws that was causing the issue, so he left and came back with the correct size screws and completed the service call. I’m not upset or anything, it’s just that my experience really sucked with all the back and forth. This was my experience with Kimbrells and...
Read moreI visited the store to pick up a dining room set that my friend had scouted for me the previous day. Terry, who assisted me, informed me that the set was in the back. After checking out, I was informed by Terry that the inventory was incorrect. He explained that the set had been assembled but not in the box. He offered me the option to take it assembled or wait about four days for it to arrive. Since I was eager to take home the set that day, I chose the assembled option.
As Terry and I examined the table, we didn’t notice any apparent damage. However, we discovered that the legs of some chairs were not assembled correctly. Terry suggested that I wait or return to have the legs assembled properly. I agreed to return an hour later, and the legs appeared to be assembled correctly.
I was also deeply disappointed to learn that I had paid $500 for the set and that it had not been adequately protected even after returning an hour later. Instead of wrapping the product, they had simply laid a thin piece of cardboard on it and tossed it into the bed of my truck.
Upon returning home to set up the table, I noticed that the table and chairs were significantly wobbly and unstable. Additionally, there were various damages and stains on the set. Disappointed and frustrated, I took the set back and asked if I could simply order a replacement. Terry informed me that I had purchased the set on clearance and that it would cost $100 to order a new one. Initially, I had assumed that I was paying for a new set since I had been told that they had it in the back before I made the purchase. This led me to feel as though I was being deceived, so I decided to request a refund.
In conclusion, I would advise against purchasing from this store due to their incompetence in handling products and their apparent bait-and-switch tactics after...
