0 stars! This is the worst of the worst of the worst imaginable typical dealership. Run away screaming!
Years ago, my wife got a beautiful pre-owned silver mustang with a moon roof and keyless entry. Also got the maintenance plan for "free" oil changes. My wife takes it in for one of those oil changes. So when would that be? about 6 months in? The tech goes to reset the oil counter in the instrument cluster and accidentally activated the "MyKey" feature. This sets a specific keyfob to be permanently limited on acceleration, top speed, and even radio volume! The idea is that this is the only key you'll trust your kids with and only the parent's master key can avoid these restrictions. We we only had 1 keyfob. They had just sold it to us that way with no extra keys and everything was fine until they messed with it. They reluctantly cleared all the key info and reprogrammed the 1 keyfob we had as the new master key. We're happy and on our way. Realized soon after that the remote start no longer works. Obviously the remote start requires security access to the car systems, it needs some type of programming trick just like a keyfob. Easy fix for a car guy right? Bring it back to the service department. They take their best shot. Come out and tell my wife with a straight face that they didn't mess up the remote start and it doesn't look like it ever functioned. They just sold us the the car off of that same lot mere months earlier and demonstrated the remote start system proudly before we purchased it! We were not amused to say the least. Their techs NEVER could figure it out. A FORD dealership could not fix the remote start on a MUSTANG that THEY SOLD US! They replaced that entire remote start module with a different model that their techs had experience with and you best believe that was at ZERO cost to us!
You think that's bad? You haven't heard ANYTHING yet! Years later we notice this lot and only this lot had a deal on a 2021 Mustang Mach-E 24000 miles or so. I know, I know. It's our own fault. How bad could it be? This is Ford's flagship effort to compete head to head with Tesla. No matter how bad this lot is, this is just a simple deal on a used car. We don't have high expectations. We want to try the Mach-E and if it doesn't work out, we'll sell it and try something else. We bought it only SIX MONTHS AGO. It sort-of worked sometimes but Ford continuously breaks everything with software updates. Did you set up your phone for bluetooth control? That's nice, the car won't remember it tomorrow! And the entire touchscreen system starts crashing and rebooting WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING! Took it in today to look at our options on a trade-in. We just want out. Trade in value is $16k. Less than half of the sticker price on a USED car from 6 months ago. That's right, that's a genuine FORD dealership with a dozen or more BRAND NEW Mach-E's on the lot right now and also F-150 Lightnings for sale I'm sure. The mask is off now and they are just admitting right to our faces that the car they just sold us 6 months ago is absolutely worthless. We expect to be screwed like that on a new car purchase. That's why we wanted the deal on the used one. How bad does a 2021 car have to be for that? Never mind that we bought it used. Some sucker had to buy it new. It's still a 2021 model that's not wrecked, looks great, low mileage. You know about what that original sticker price was. Bottom line is that the Mach-E is swirling the drain and Ford knows it. Run away screaming!
But they would be happy to roll all of our negative equity into a new deal if we can just show up with a huge down payment. There is way more to tell but google reviews has a limit! Long story short, Ford Motor Credit has a very pretty Mach-E to come repossess because it will be a cold day in Hell before we make another...
Read moreDefinitely wouldnât recommend to anyoneâŠI got a 2018 dodge journey from them when I got it the light had water in it and I asked if that can e fixed before I purchased it they said yes we definitely will fix that I got the car came the next day and they said they were busy come back next week I did that they said again they were busy come back I did that they kept putting me off I called and called for months about the light and they refused to fix it to it got to the point where they told me I had the vehicle to long and now I am responsible for fixing it thatâs crazy not only that I have problems with vehicle and for the past year I barely drove my car bc I paid for insurance and they refuse to do their part on their end I called several times about the issues and even explained to them that I was almost in a car accident and still nothing âŠthey told me I have to find a dodge place to take it to and drop it off ok no problem but I asked how am I going to get home because thatâs my only vehicle it was said I have to figure that outâŠbut I went the other day and now itâs my insurance that I paid for covers towing and a rental car until mine gets fixed I said my car could have been fixed thatâs not what was said to me I asked for my money back for the insurance several times since they not fixing my vehicle and they said I canât get it back until the car fully paid for which I donât understand bc my car payments have nothing to do with my insurance I paid that straight out in cashâŠ.oh yeah and I had my own bank to finance with and they refused to use the bank I had and said it was to much paperwork and having to go back and forth so they assigned me with a bank they work with and now Iâm literally overcharged for the vehicle I went to 3 different banks and they told me and they also told me to go to county ford and speak with the manager and see if he can fix that because thatâs not right and he definitely didnât and wouldnât even take the car for a trade in saying he canât trade it in because the vehicle will still have a negative balance because the car value is only worth $5,500-$6,000 but I still owe a bit over $16,000 like I told them I got the car from you and I canât trade it in and I done already paid $13,601 already so yes I am being beyond over charged for the vehicle a vehicle that they just told me themselves is only $5,00-$6,000 they will have gotten over $30,000 once doneâŠ.no bank can refinance it because Iâm being over over charged and like I said I went to 3 different banks and county ford themselves wonât even do a trade in because they sold me the vehicle but said the balance is to high which is crazy I never missed a payment at allâŠeven when I had my own bank they refused to use the bank I had to get vehicle and I had to put down a huge payment even though I had my own bank to get the vehicle from and got approved for loan and they went with theirs and charged me $3,411.11 that same day vs going with my bank and I didnât need a down payment and asked me my price for the payment and went with their own that was way above my agreementâŠI would not recommend because they overcharge and they donât give you the care they say once they make the saleâŠso I am stuck with a vehicle I donât want couldnât enjoy bc they refused to do their job and partâŠ.i feel something should be able to be done about this situation and if anyone can help me please message me at jerseybew0830@icloud.com bc again I got the car from them but they refuse to let me do a trade in because they said itâs way to highâŠwhat I paid already is practically more than the value of the care but they still charging more for the vehicle⊠I only gave a one star rating bc I had no choice bc I donât feel they deserve a star rating at all bc they are getting over on...
Read moreWhy 2 stars? They are conveniently located. The facility has been recently renovated and it looks very nice. The lot is clean and the vehicles are spaced out to allow for plenty of space to look them over. This dealership usually has a very good selection of new and used vehicles and they have a great selection of trucks. The sales staff is responsive (they were on us immediately and had us in our car of interest for a test drive pretty quickly). This is where the accolades stop as far as I am concerned.
I have twice attempted to purchase vehicles here and twice I have been disappointed. The absence of professionalism, when it comes to financial negotiations, is glaring. Their opening tactic is to ask "what can we do to earn your business today?". This canned sales phrase is STALE like the cookies in grandma's cupboard. Yet they used it to open negotiations with me on my two separate purchase attempts which, by the way, were three years apart. They want the buyer to throw out a number to get the ball rolling but (caveat emptor), in reality, you making a deal at that number at County Ford is about as likely as the Cleveland Browns winning the Super Bowl. I make aggressive offers (in my favor) when purchasing vehicles because I want the best deal I can get for myself. Who doesn't? If you are not approaching the car buying process in this manner then you are going about it the wrong way. Don't get me wrong. I leave room for the "bump". I came up from my initial offer and even offered to waive their "three years of complimentary maintenance" when negotiations stalled.
When the vehicle is listed at $11,700 and the "best we can do" is out the door at $11,560...that is not much of a deal. They even came at me with the laughable "this is a today ONLY deal". How ridiculous! Has that EVER worked on anyone? In the end my final number was $500 lower than their final number and they closed the door on me--NO DEAL. The manner in which they closed the door on me was the coup de grace and I quote "You have a blessed day sir.". Not "I'm sorry we couldn't make a deal" or "Thank you for giving us a try" but "Have a blessed day sir." Really? We all know what that really means down here in the South. But before they closed the door they pitched me the "are there any other cars you might be interested in?". Honestly they did have other vehicles I was interested in but after all the back and forth and them not listening to what I was saying while negotiating on the original vehicle I had no desire to start that process all over again with them. I needed to get to the next dealership.
Last time I was here (three years ago) I was truck shopping and we couldn't make a deal. I'm glad we didn't because I ended up getting a much better vehicle (a higher trim level with many more options) at the price I wanted so I'm sure I can do the same thing this time.
Don't let this place pressure you into a deal that you know is not good for you! Their slogan is County Ford Gets It Done but in reality...they really don't.
