The Hare & The Hive — Local services in Grand Haven

I grew up in Grand Haven/Spring Lake and moved a few years ago but still occasionally come back to visit. The Hare and the Hive have been a must to visit every time I am in town ever since I discovered the store last Christmas while in town for another visit.

Recently I was in the store and purchased a small amber jar with safety matches that I am using to light candles. I bought them because I liked the jar and it had a cool looking cork to keep the matches dry and safe around burning candles. Well, I get back and unwrap the matches to realize there is no cork! I check the bag and the car to make sure it didn't fall out but I hadn't unwrapped it since I left the store so I concluded it must have fallen out while it was being wrapped up by the cashier. We reached out to the store to ask about a replacement and not only were they willing to provide one, they were willing to ship one to another state where I live so that I could have the cork that was supposed to come with the amber jar!

This is why I love shopping local and will always advocate to support local business! The customer service was amazing and the issue was resolved quickly and without pain!
