We arrived just a few minutes before 1pm which was the start time posted for the New Years festival but once again for the second year in a row there were not signs or banners or anything outside to say there was a festival going on here. When we walked inside, many were still setting up. The management here really doesnt seem to care about this property or what goes on here. So sad. They food vendors were awesome but almost everyone had the same food choices. It would have been nice to see a variety of international food choices. Hong Kong Bakery sucked. They could care less if you visit their stores or buy anything from them. At is dirty and makes you wonder how they are allowed to remain in location there. The supermarket was crazy busy and I have no idea what they are doing with the ceiling but it took looks very dirty and isles full of boxes and long lines for check out. I really hope this place cleans up and becomes more inviting to the public. Lots of sales opportunities lost the way it is...
Read moreI recently went to this Lunar New Year Festival and discovered the fun under one complex called Asia Times Square off of Pioneer Park way in Arlington, so thought would share some pics and reviews. If you are a foodie and looking for a nice place to hang with your friends or family, I recommend you to go check out Asia Times Square. It has everything starting from Boba tea, baked goods, variety of Dim sum options, fine sit down restaurant, and option to shop for groceries too. Some of the stores and restaurants I visited there are: Hong Kong market for groceries and staples, Food court: for variety of eating , Hong Kong bakery: for some really fresh and yummy baked goods and snacks, Gong Cha: for Boba teas and all kinds of tea options. These are just a few I visited but there are many more options there. I took pictures from a Dim Sum restaurant : Banh Mi there too. It had so many options for snacks and food that my...
Read moreI've been coming every year for the Chinese New Year festival and it's totally worth the journey to come visit. I love the hustle and bustle of the crowds and food, reminds me so much of being back in Asia. This is usually a cash only event, but the food is so good. I love getting the freshly squeezed sugar cane juice with juicy, deliciously seasoned meat skewers. There's a Hong Kong bakery here too which is where I got the sesame balls (3 flavors: red bean, mung/green bean & sesame with coconut) and the clear shrimp dumplings (bánh bột lọc), and bánh it tran. There's a Hong Kong supermarket inside as well which is a convenient place to go grocery shopping, although I do it think the Asian supermarkets in the Plano-Richardson location are better. This is a unique place to come to every year for a great celebration of a new year. Side note- parking is a nightmare cause there's so many people, you've...
