I will never be going back to this Chipotle restaurant, and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who works hard for their money and wants decent service. I drove to this restaurant to get my double protein bowl before hitting the gym, and the atmosphere felt off from the start. When I walked in I smelt something like burnt smelly fish, I’m not sure it just didn’t smell right. There seemed to be a new worker who didn’t seem to know how to prepare the bowls very well and as he served the person ahead of me his coworker sort of snatched the bowl from him and started making the bowl even faster. He then watched her finish and came to serve me, I asked for both rice (brown and white) and he filled my bowl up with 3 large scoops of white rice and was going to put more white rice but I stopped him saying “oh yea that’s straight right there” fine though you know I’m not tripping about the rice. I get both beans and then I ask for chicken and queso. ⚠️This guy scoops 5 little pieces of chicken then scoops 3 more, and puts the queso over it, I ask him if I can get a little more chicken bc that to me didn’t look like the normal full portion I would get any other day. Then here comes his coworker she snatched the bowl from him and I ask her for double queso and double chicken, she responds to me saying “ he already gave you two scoops” so I explain that he didn’t give me a regular amount of chicken so she gives me a little extra chicken very frustrated like. Spilling more chicken than she put in my bowl I tell her she didn’t even give me the “double portion” that I would be paying for and I add that I’ve been eating from this food chain very often and I enjoy it a lot so I’m certain I’ve never had that little amount be called “double chicken” plus I said he didn’t give me both rice in the beginning just a lot of white rice which is more than they usually give me.⚠️ 🚯This is where things take a turn for the worse, she then asked me would I like my bowl remade, and I just want more chicken on my bowl, so she quickly snatched the bowl spilling the contents of it around and threw it very aggressively in the trash bin behind her. I was completely blown away, and honestly quite scared of how aggressive this Chipotle worker was to me. I look around just shocked and I’m asking the question to her and her coworkers standing idly by. Why did she just throw a perfectly good bowl away? I didn’t mind eating the bowl all I wanted was more chicken I exclaimed. No one said a word. She asked me what I wanted I said both rice n both beans. Another girl walked out with a smirk on her face, I asked her why would she throw away the whole bowl? She said something about not being able to serve it to someone else because it was made by me. I’m not sure about the policy of throwing away good food but I think if they she was willing to throw away an entire bowl and all I wanted was more chicken then the solution could’ve been resolved more professionally. So I refused service after losing my appetite and working all day just to get treated like that. 🚯 As I walked away I heard talking behind me and I turned around to say that’s very unprofessional, why would she throw the whole thing away just to make me another one? The worker who had the smirk told me to leave and I said okay and “God bless you” she the responded “no God bless You”. So now I’m going to the gym with no chipotle but just one question on my mind. How petty was it to try and prove me wrong about stupid chicken portions, and instead of giving me more just throw it all away? I’m not even mad I just can’t wrap my head...

Read moreMy boyfriend and I LOVE Chipotle. We usually stop in at the one in Grandville, but we were much closer to the one on 28th street so we went there last night.
I am sorry to say that we had a horrible experience. While no one was actually verbally rude to us, it was just entirely unprofessional and uncomfortable. The man taking our orders kept staring at me. He would literally stop what he was doing and just stare. He almost burnt my tortilla because he left it in there since he spent a full minute staring at me. Then he went and almost put the wrong thing on my burrito for every topping. I said "black beans, please" then he tried putting pinto beans on it, etc. It was so weird.
Then the lady that rang everything through for me,l stopped, then deleted it all and rang up her fellow coworker for her food, making me wait. Then she asked me again what I had and rang it back up. This whole process took about five minutes, and others were waiting behind us. When I handed her my card she looked the other way and seriously did not look back at me for nearly thirty seconds. She just stared into space while I waited for her to take my card. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, so of course I wasn't rude. I just thanked her and left when we were finally done with the whole ordeal, but no one smiled, no one thanked me, and it felt off.
And the chips were stale, the rice was overcooked, and the chicken was old. Ugh. Take a trip to the Grandville Chipoptle. They will treat you warmly, and your food will be...
