Went in to have screen on iphone fixed.
Guy took one look at it and declared the battery had expanded & accused me of over charging it and scolded me for how that will burn down my house. I told him I’m surprised how fast it happened since THEY installed a brand new battery in this phone just a couple months prior. (No the tech never warned me about overcharging at that time) Technician was out on lunch so I left my phone there. Decided I didnt want another inferior junk battery put in my phone so I went back right at 3 to see the tech before he got started. He had just opened my phone & sure enough the battery was perfectly fine! (Rayovac brand)
Tech said some screws came loose from dropping the phone & how its super rare -I asked if it had anything to do with their service just a couple months prior. Nope- dropping so no warranty. Ok.
I left so he could finish working on it. Came back and was handed my phone back with the same busted screen I originally brought in to have fixed -frustrating.
4 hrs, accused and scolded, worried about what ticking time-bomb of a battery may have been installed and at the end never got the repair I asked for. What frustrating experience.
March 20 update: If I had declined the quote why would I have left the phone with your tech to be repaired? Also I have now repaired the phone myself carefully following detailed youtube instructions. No frame issue. All screws replaced snuggly. Thank you for the encouragement to learn to do this common...
Read moreI took my IPhone 12 max in to get the back glass fixed. The guy fixing it told me he would need 1 1/2 hours to fix it. I came in and he told me “I’ve never been this deep into an iPhone 12 before I will need a few more hours” this made me nervous already but I trusted that they would do a good job. When I got to the store the guy said that there was an issue. When they placed the back glass they put pressure breaks into my iPhone making the left side of my phone screen unusable. They said that my new screen would be here in maybe a week. My screen had lines going down the left side, the phone was rattling somewhere and nothing was working. They then proceeded to charge me full price for the service not offering me a discount or telling me they would fix it for free. I wish they would have said that they didn’t know how to fix my particular phone rather than attempting and rendering it unusable. Looking back I should have refused to pay for this, when I called them To get my money back since I had to buy a new phone they told me that since they did replace the back glass they weren’t going to give me my money back. Read moreI very much REGRET shopping at this business and will never do so again. I purchased a battery for my car online to take advantage of a 10% discount for doing so. The price for the battery was $60 higher than another similar business but they advertised free installation so I concluded that it was an overall saving. There was a place on the order screen to request the installation. When I arrived at the store I was "greeted" by a very surly man who, from my perspective had no interest in providing customer service. He retrieved the battery and when I said I had requested installation he immediately responded, "we don't do that." I explained that I had made the purchase with his store specifically because of the installation and he flatly repeated that they did not do that and even denied that I had entered the reqest on line and that there was even a place to do it--see attached screen shot. I'm elderly and really needed to have the battery installed. But I did manage to get it done by myself in the end. Avoid this business: misleading online information; high prices; deplorable...
