Conlins furniture is a company that prides themselves with excellent customer service. They have a varied and complete selection of floor models to compare prices, brands, comfort, and quality. They handle variable brands to fit any budget and have excellent financing options to allow no interest payments up to 5 years. They have the ability to order in just about any product if you've found something you love elsewhere.... Their prices are equally competitive with other stores in the same area on the same or similar products. I would definitely suggest Conlins furniture to anyone looking for their next furniture purchase. I can't wait until we are able to enjoy our new couch and bedroom dressers!!! Thanks Conlins!!
F/u to my purchase:
Was supposed to receive couch on a Thursday week following purchasing couch. We both took off from work early to be there at 3 pm, which was an agreed upon delivery date and time with one of the two salesmen we worked with. 3:30 rolls around.... We assume they are running behind. 3:45, I call the store. The sales woman I spoke with said that they didn't have us on the schedule that day and there was nobody in the warehouse at that time of day that could deliver our couch same day. She initially made excuses and diverted responsibility, then she back pedaled and became apologetic and did what she could to fix it. She asked if they could deliver tomorrow (Friday) and I said what time? She said 9 am. I said I would make it work. It wasn't ideal as I take overnight call and that was disruptive to my sleep, but, we made it work. The couch arrived. It came into the living room easily and set up quickly. Delivery men were professional, courteous, prompt and competent. Later that evening, I noticed a tear underneath the recliner where there's a vinyl surface on our leather couch. I called Saturday about the defect. The salesman that sold us the couch was very unprofessional, he didn't remember us at all, he kept saying "I sold you the couch, I can't find a record" is it under your husband's name etc etc. He finally found our order. His options for us were to give us the floor model instead, file it as a manufacturer defect, or send the repair guy out at the store's cost and no cost to us. He wanted photos. He said his furniture repair person would take care of us on Monday. Monday came and went. I didn't get a chance to touch base. I received no phone calls. Tuesday, I reached out. My salesman wasn't there - day off. I spoke with the salesman that we ordered dressers from to see if he could help us. I was connected with the furniture repair shop, the guy was helpful and professional. However, original salesman I spoke with on Saturday had not turned any info in to the repair shop. I had to re-explain everything and then send him photos also. He said he'd pass info on to the furniture repair guy that they contract through. If I didn't hear anything in a week, to reach back out. A week went by. I had missed calls but no voicemails. I spoke with the fellow at Conlins again and thankfully received a phone call from the furniture repair guy same day. He said he had called but could never reach me. I said that I work during the day and take call at night, I don't answer my phone at work, and if you don't leave a voicemail and I don't have your contact info, I won't be calling you back. I am awaiting him to repair my couch next week. Hopefully he shows and hopefully everything is taken care of without issue.
The purchasing of the furniture went smoothly and I couldn't have been happier.
At this junction, I am displeased and annoyed at the whole process. I don't feel respected or valued as a customer. I don't feel like we were taken care of appropriately after purchasing a brand new couch. I feel like a brand new couch should've been offered for replacement. I also feel like I shouldn't have to chase anyone down to get issues taken care of. Everything past the purchase has been nothing less than one inconvenience after another. Hopefully the couch lasts many years, I don't want to...
Read moreEDIT- Changing this review to 5/5 stars. I did not reach out to Conlin's regarding the below, however they reached out to me after seeing my initial review, and offered to replace the headboard. While I declined this offer (my hubby had already done all the repair work and secured the headboard to the bed) I do appreciate them reaching out to rectify the situation. Appreciate their customer service and willingness to rectify the situation. Thank you Conlin's and Jamie.
Great plan! Poor execution. Honestly we don't go to Conlin's for any furniture needs but we stopped by to check out king size headboards. I was looking for an inexpensive headboard with no frame. Found one (and only one) on clearance and actually loved it. It was reg $599 on clearance for $199. It wasn't anything high quality- heavy particle board but that was ok. Had some minor nicks but the way the headboard was designed they kind of blended. Purchase went smooth. Came back to pick up to find they had plastic wrapped the headboard (it was a "buy as is" with no box and we were fine with that). But we get it home and unwrap it and found way more damage than was originally present. It only had nicks in the store but upon unwrapping now had an entire area where pieces of the particle board had come apart from one another. My husband literally had to do some taking apart, wood gluing, clamping, re-nail gunning shenanigans. He was not impressed. Amd we didn't return because we didn't figure they'd take back a clearance, plus we still wanted the piece. All this to say we were less than impressed to find further damage on a piece we already purchased "damaged". Doesn't make us eager to return for their services. (Wish I would have...
Read moreI had shopped at Conlin's this past spring and ended up being disappointed with my purchase for a couple of reasons - what I felt was false advertising, and not being given color choices available, even though I had made a point of making it known I was trying to match, as closely as possible, a piece of furniture I already owned. As soon as Justin, their operations manager, found out about my concerns he bent over backwards to make things right. Turns out that one of my concerns had nothing at all to do with Conlin's, but was the manufacturer's problem - the false advertising. I do not think that Conlin's was even aware at that point that something was being sold with a feature it did not have. That did not stop Justin from correcting the problem and doing everything he could to make me happy with my purchase. He contacted the manufacturer and got the correct light for my cabinet, as advertised. I ended up keeping the color of cabinet I had bought, because the other colors, once shown to me, did not work for me, but Justin would have had a new one delivered, and the current one picked up, if that is what I would have decided. I was SO impressed with his concern and willingness to make things right. Kudos to you, Justin. I will definitely be a Conlin's shopper...
