The majority of jobs Iāve had have been customer service of some sort and so I really donāt leave reviews unless something wild happens because 9/10 times the person leaving a bad review is wrong about whatever happened. I was literally JUST in this store a week ago and there were no self checkouts yet. I went today and suddenly there are now self checkouts, which is cool, but if youāve been in the store more than once you know the only register thatās ever open is the one closest to the door.
Whoever was working at the front this afternoon must have been super frustrated about having to tell people over and over about the self checkouts which I totally get and I apparently overlooked a tiny bell that said āplease ring for serviceā sitting at a register that is usually never open, furthest from the door. There was no music playing in the store which was already awkward and then she literally yelled at me to either use the self checkouts or tell her if I need help and then when she got to the register she SNATCHED the bell that I didnāt see and slammed her phone on the counter and then had a shit attitude with me the whole time.
I totally get that itās annoying when something changes and you have to keep saying the same thing to people all day but unfortunately it takes a couple weeks for people who frequent a business to see a change and understand it because not everyone is coming in there every single day to shop and she basically implied that I was stupid for not seeing the bell AT A REGISTER THAT IS USUALLY NEVER OPEN.
I am literally the last person that you need to have a shit attitude with because I get the frustration but itās still not okay to be super rude especially when I wasnāt rude to you first. Itās rough out there but thereās a difference between not being able to figure out something when thereās plain and simple directions in front of you but there wasnāt and I was just genuinely confused and this kinda...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe clerk told me because I'd spent more than $40 they would give me $10 back, then she took my name, email address, and phone number, and then she told me the $10 would be a voucher, which is misleading - it's not $10 cash back, it's store merchandise. So I asked them to delete my personal information, and they said they couldn't, that I'd have to call their headquarters, anothet delay and waste of time. I requested my account be deleted on their website, but they continued to send me emails. Also, it took four store "team members" including a manager to straighten out a transaction with the customer before me, who also left without a resolution, and with a suggestion ftom the manager to take it up with their headquarters, wasting more of her time. Apparently they have little regard for honesty, customer's time, or privacy. Also, from the way the clerk was hunting and pecking to enter my info, it looked like she didn't know how to type. In genersl, Michael's has constant buy one, get one half off discounts. From how constant these are, they are fake sales, with merchandise overpriced to begin with. When Joann Fabrics went out if business, they emailed $5 coupons, which were restricted to merchandise not on sale, but since so many of their items have constant fake sales, the usefulness of the coupon...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFrustrated, I have been to the store 3 times for an item and they are out of stock. This means I can not use my 50 or 60 percent coupon before it expires! When I ask when it will be available, they say they dont know. I ask if they can put it on the order list and they say they can't do that...I ask if I can have a rain check to honor my coupon and they also tell me no. I should Not have to order it online and pay for shipping when it is an item they claim they sell in the store. They will lose customers if they can not keep supplies stocked in store or honor the coupons when there are other craft stores in town. Some of the staff are awesome and some are rude and have no idea what they are doing or even care if they satisfy...
