Went in to take my son for a haircut. With no guests in the salon, it took at least 5 minutes for a stylist to come out. There were 3 women in back. After the one came out to help us, the other two stared at us creepily, looking irritated from the back room and then slowly closed the door. Super awkward and extremely unfriendly. We got there at 7:30 so figured a half hour would be enough time to get my 9-year-old's haircut. I showed the stylist a picture of exactly what he wanted per her request. One hour later we have one of the most uneven, terrible cuts my kid has ever gotten. It's clear she screwed up and just kept cutting away to try to fix it, but never said a word or apologized. I somehow felt the need to apologize to her for being there for a half hour after they closed. It's a bummer because they still charged $25 just for the cut which was worse than a Great Clips or Cost Cutters. I even had to cut a hair tail off of him after we got home that was missed completely. We went there because I was able to convince my son for the first time in forever to get a haircut because it was a special place for dudes only so they would do a really good job. Unfortunately, I...
Read moreI can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am with my April 18th appointment. Before I was even seated I stated that I wanted a trim to keep it long and layered. Evidently the stylist totally ignored my statement because she immediately went into a drawer and pulled out a guard for the trimmer. The keeping of my hair long on the sides and back of the neck wasn't going to happen. I immediately asked her what she was doing. Didn't she listen to what I was saying? She said she try to blend the shortened sides with the top. If I was to guess, I think the entire cut took less than eight minutes. During my discussion telling her how unhappy I was, she offered to have someone else take over. For what? The damage was already done. There was no attempt to apologize. I was pleased with my previous visits but this one changed my whole opinion of Lady Jane's. I cannot and would not recommend this place to anyone and I will not be returning. They say you can only make a good first impression. Well this fourth impression was not a good one. You can spend all the money on PR but an experience like this nullifys...
Read moreDon’t bother making an appointment; it doesn’t do anything. I had an appointment for 4:00 and arrived on time. Nobody greeted me so I took a seat.
By 4:10 I still waited when someone walked in and signed in on a computer. They took him immediately. I thought, ok, maybe he also had an appointment. but maybe I’m supposed to check in on the computer, so I did and saw the option for “I have an appointment.” Oh well, I’ll be next right? Nope.
Another guy walks in at 4:20 and I see him check in that he does not have an appt and they take him next at 4:25. I tell them that I had an appt for 25 min ago and the woman is perplexed. She confirms that I have an appt, but his name came up next.
By 4:30 I just left because I had to go back to work. Total waste of my lunch break. Go somewhere else where appointments mean something.
I gave 2 stars because I was there a couple of months ago and I had a much better experience, which is why...
